ZZ invited to act in "Jin Sang Zi Zhou Xuan"
ZZ invited to act in "Jin Sang Zi Zhou Xuan"
Zai Zai Vic Zhou's elegant temperament has been in the eyes of Chinese moviemaking. He is invited to act in a 30-episode drama, "Jin Sang Zi Zhou Xuan" (Golden Voice Zhou Xuan).
Currently, "Jin Sang Zi Zhou Xuan" is in the process of finding the actor for "Zhou Xuan." However, "Jin Sang Zi Zhou Xuan" is very similar to the Korean drama "Endless Love." Zhou Xuan once experienced a "brother-sister love." Due to the fact that the Zhou family adopted Zhou Xuan, the two siblings therefore are not blood- related siblings. But due of all kinds of reasons, they can't be together although they love each other.
As for this turned-on "brother," Zhang Bao Fa revealed that they have already invited F4's Zai Zai Vic Zhou because he has this most elegant temperament. Zai Zai is currently looking over the script.
It is reported that the latest date the drama will start filming will be August. Zhang Bao Fa expressed in the end, Chengdu and Chongqing are both places that contain beauties so they hope to find someone suitable to act in "Jin Sang Zi Zhou Xuan."

Director Cai said Zaizai's acting skills and pronunciations have greatly improved
Director Cai said Zaizai's acting skills and pronunciations have greatly improved
It's been two years since Director Cai worked with Zaizai and Big S in Meteor Garden. He is very satisfied with their performances.
Probably because of her experiences in the past two years, Big S's acting style has matured a lot and the transformation suits her role in Mars fine.
Compared to when Zaizai was in Meteor Garden, director Cai says Zaizai has greatly improved.
He said that the other day they were shooting a scene that both of them thought was very similar to one scene in Meteor Garden. At the time of Meteor Garden, it took them from noon till dark and still couldn't get it right.
This time Zaizai finished it rather quickly. That's how much he has improved.
As for pronunciation of which even Zaizai himself thinks is difficult to overcome, he says Zaizai has improved a lot.

Vanness Wu is the new king of pop asia
Vanness Wu is the new king of pop asia posted: March 22, 2004
He's plan to go solo made Boyband breakaways for dust and inspired a generation of future boyband breakaways. True, Vanness Wu is the new king of pop asia for the minute, how long will his reign last? That's the 100% question. One can only guess until the next boyband disbands and one of the hacks is savvily re-packed and re-marketed for mass teen and tween consumption. But for now, Vanness has the points!

Posted by ammie in onlyf4 forum, credit to Tal Wu @ 4U-Club
T=Translator J=Jerry
T: How do u feel to have a meet & greet with your Thai fans?
J: I'm so glad to meet lots of my fans. It has been quite long time for not being among fans and the big event like this.
T: Do you plan to release your solo album?
J: My album is in the process of the arrangement. If there's no any problem I think that around May it would be finished and ready to release.
T: You said you are happy with Thai fans, will you visit us more often and if it's not Bangkok, which part of Thailand do you want to visit? (~~the reporter had laid the tape recorder on the floor while taking his picture and by chance on the recorder has 2 stickers of Vanness. Jerry looked quite surprised and stopped for a while. He had a little smile~~ hahaha.. the reporter is Vanness fans lah..)
J: Um.. after my album release, I hope to have a promo trip in Thailand and also hope to perform a concert here. If I get a chance, I do wish to travel around in other province of Thailand. The interesting place which not might be Bangkok.
T: Heard that your album would be Rock & Roll, why Rock & Roll?
J: Actually my album has not absolutely been designed which style it would be due to it is in the process of arrangement.
T: How about the woman in your type? (~~the reporter had picked up the tape recorder from the floor to the table in front of Jerry. Now he picked up the recorder and laid it down then laughing. So when the translator finished the question he seemed shy and his face turned to be in red. He then paid attention on the recorder. He picked it up and said "It's Vanness." then laugh satisfyingly. All people in the pressroom were laughing his cute manner. He did look at the reporter like to complain that "You are Vanness fans not my fans".. hahaha.. so cute)
J: (Smile shyly) The woman in my type have to understand me and have a nice mind.
T: How about Thai woman?
J: (Laughing so shyly) Give me sometime. Let me learn more Thai words. (Laughing again.)
T: What did you do to keep yourself handsome and healthy?
J: (Laughing again) Nothing else.. just keep on exercise.
T: Will F4 is going to gather in a group again?
J: Err..I think if the time comes, we gonna work together again such as join making an album or series. Recently all of us are busy with own duties. Like Vanness, he is preparing his new album and so do I. However, if it will be a chance we gonna be together for sure.
T: Do you want to reside in Thailand? (All the people laugh. Jerry used his hand to cover his mouth. So lovely)
J: I feel so pity every time come to Thailand I didn't get a chance to have city tour or sight seeing. (~~wah.. poor Jerry..) I heard that Thailand is full of nice scenery and many interesting places, if I have some free time I wish to visit Thailand for my vacation as privacy not for working. (~~wow.. he did say `Vacation' in English~~)
T: Why you went to perform a concert in Philippines many times but never show in Thailand? Thai fans are not less than Philippines and love F4 much as the same even love before them.
J: (Had a big sigh) I am fully hope that my friends and I will have a chance to perform concert in Thialand but .. (seem sad again) there is no invitation to us at all. (~~God!!! Why Thai organizer look over F4.~~ aMMiE is so angry ~~) I do hope to come for a concert once.
T: Had seen your written. Which is the most favorable between writer, singer and actor?
J: I like all. I love to be on stage to show to sing to act and I love to write too.
T: Which is the style of your next series?
J: We are in the position of negotiation. Personally I want to perform an action style.
T: The Pepsi commercial is also action style, do you feel tried?
J: I didn't feel tried by the filming as I like this style. I have to thanks Pepsi giving me a chance to act in the style that I like.
T: How do you feel to working with Pepsi?
J: I'm so surprised when I was informed. In my opinion, the person who will be Pepsi presenter must be on the top famous list of the world. So when I was offered to be Pepsi presenter, I was very proud and so glad. To work with Pepsi is really a good chance as Pepsi staffs are the most quality staff.
T: If you were not a popular singer or actor, what do you want to do at the moment?
J: Err..I like to do exercise and really happy when I play basketball so if it would be possible I want to be a basketball player.
T: Lastly, do you want to say anything to Thai fans?
J: I do very appreciated and so thankful Thai fan for a warmest welcome. I am glad to come back again. Thank you for your always support. Xie..Xie.. Sa Was Dee Kha..
After the interview, Jerry had taken photo with management and VIP guest for a while then sat down on the stage floor in order to let the press taking his pictures. (~~this is not in the script. He did it by himself and with his willingness and it really made all press so touched.~~)

Argh! F4 "Ghost" Tickets 300,000 Baht 10,000+ of Fans
Argh! F4 "Ghost" Tickets 300,000 Baht 10,000+ of Fans
Waited For
Nothing - Not For Long, The Biggies Took It All And
Put Them On Sale
Khaosod Newspaper 17 March, 2004
"F4" fans complained about the tickets to see "Jerry"
1 of the 4 "F4"
that will come to meet with the fans in Thailand this
Sunday. Even
though the fans followed the rules and regulations,
brought 100 Pepsi
caps and went to sleep and wait overnight to exchange
with the free
tickets, but all the tickets were all gone in a short
period of time.
After that, there were people who came to sell the
tickets in an
extreme price that reached ten thousand baht. On the
latest, there
were people announcing and selling the tickets on the
internet in a
price that went up to 300,000 baht!
On 16th March, news reporters reported about
Pepsi-Cola Thai Trading
Limited company will bring superstar, the member of
the F4 band,
Jerry Yan Cheng Xu from Taiwan to show up and
participate in
activities "meet and greet" with fans in Thailand at
Bangkok
Convention Center room - Central Ladprao on this
Sunday 21st March.
The fact that they let the F4 fans to bring Pepsi caps
of 100 in
total to exchange with tickets to the event of the
capacity of 2,000
in total. Eventually, there were some chaos that
happened on the day
of exchanging tickets. Plus, there were some greedy
people who used
the tickets to sell them in high prices, so much that
it was rumored
it reached 300,000 baht.
A member from a Jerry Fanclub phoned and complained to
Khaosod that
on the day of exchanging tickets on 12th March that
just passed by at
Central World Plaza, Central Bangna, and Central
Pinklao there were
numerous fans who admired Jerry that went to wait and
queue in line
overnight. They were there at each of the Central
Plaza's branches
and queue in line since the 11th March, before the day
of exchanging
tickets on the 12th. Only 5 hours passed, there were
people in queue
more than half of 10,000. Everyone who came to wait
had to sit and
wait till the malls open to eventually run in and
exchange the
tickets. There were some pushing and shoving, till
there were small
chaos going on.
Fans of the Taiwanese star declared that there were
still groups of
Jerry's Fanclubs in Thailand that collaborated with
Jerry's Fanclubs
in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, etc. to invest and
hired motorcycles
each at 800 baht and scattered to the three locations
where there
were tickets exchanging. At each place, there were not
less than 50
people to queue and get the tickets with the groups of
foreign fans
who will travel here and participate on the event on
Sunday. And
there were many Thai fans who went to wait and queue,
but they were
too late and missed the chance to receive the tickets
because they
didn't know about the strategy and tactics that were
being used by
the others.
"Mostly, they were Jerry's fans that really wanted to
participate in
the event, but there were some people who didn't want
to go watch but
came to reserve the tickets for another purpose - sell
them in a
higher price. About 11am, there were the staffs from
the Pepsi
company to come and count the number of caps and give
the queue
tickets. After that, they let you wait till 5pm and
then started to
call each names to get the tickets. The people who
didn't receive the
queue tickets were still waiting for the chance if
anyone gave up
their right, until the tickets were out. Then, there
were people who
came to sell the tickets and negotiate. The people who
really wanted
to watch came straightfoward and asked will they sell
for 2000 baht.
The highest that I heard with my ears was how an
auntie bought the
ticket for 30,000 baht," an F4 fan declared.
Jerry's F4 fan continued that now there were
announcements of selling
the tickets on the internet, similar to how you
auction if you're
interested just insert the amount you're willing to
pay. Like there
was a person who she contacted and originally had 4
tickets. 2 of
them were his and they were the seat numbers that were
next to each
other. They were sold at 12,000 baht. Another 2
tickets, there were
someone who let him sell for the person, which will
add another 20
percent. If you buy one ticket, it will cost 6,000
baht, but if you
buy two tickets, each will cost 5,000 baht. But the
most bizzarre
would be a person in the company that will organize
this event took
the staff pass and sell it, which will earn the person
a very close
seat to the stage. Now, the price of that pass climbed
till 300,000
baht.
That same fan still told us that one Hong Kong
newspaper had one news
about Jerry's travel to meet with Thai fans that now,
Jerry's company
are negotiating to let Jerry travel by a private jet
with security of
100 Thailand's policemen. They will also not reveal
the landing
place, because they didn't want the fans to come in
and create a
stampede. Jerry will also participate acitivities in
Thailand for
only 25 hours, then he will fly back immediately.
On the side of Mr. Charlie Jitjaroongporn, chief
marketing management
of Pepsi-Cola Thai Trading Ltd., talked about this
situation that
Pepsi released the same type of tickets to everyone.
There were no
VIP tickets, and including with creating strict rules
and regluations
that is bring 100 Pepsi caps in an exchange for a
ticket - one person
per ticket. The tickets were distributed to each mall.
If you were
missing one cap, you'll lose the privilege. He also
went to see the
situation at Central World Plaza that day, and he saw
that Jerry's
fans were very good in following the rules. Fans came
to wait at the
mall since 5pm on 11th March. An example would be the
400 queue which
was an auntie fan which came to wait at 3am. She was
willing to stay
up this much to wait in line. She should be a real fan
of Jerry's, or
else she wouldn't wait in line this early.
In the case of greedy people who took this chance and
take the
tickets for sale in an extreme price, Mr. Charlie said
he couldn't do
anything to it. This is because the sellers followed
the rules and
regulations and they can exchange the tickets. It
should just be an
occurence that creates a vibe. Because in this
situation, there were
not many people who received the tickets. So, the
people who got the
tickets might think they are valuable. It is possible
for the sellers
to think in two different ways. But anyways, he
confirmed that Jerry
will travel here to meet with the Thai fans according
to the schedule.
"If you look in an optimistic way, we Pepsi people
felt very content,
because this acitivity received a great feedback and
response. But we
feel a little bit sad that we cannot allow everyone to
participate in
the event. This is because actually, Jerry will come
to Thailand for
only activities that involves music of Pepsi's only.
But when there
was a great response, we then thought of an activity
which lets
Jerry's fans to come and meet and greet with the real
Jerry. Which we
couldn't believe we had received this much amount of
great
responses," chief marketing management of Pepsi said.
The reporter asked about the news vibe from Jerry's
fans that waited
in queue to exchange tickets on 12th March at Central
World Plaza
that there was a fan who got stressed out, got fits,
and bit her own
tongue till she died. Mr. Charlie exclaimed that it
was all a fraud.
This is because he himself went to observe the
situation in that day.
But there was a teenage fan who started to faint and
got fits due to
the hot weather. About Jerry's schedule on that day,
we cannot tell
100 percent what will happen, because now we are
consulting with
Jerry's manager. But there would be a welcome event.
In the case of Jerry's arrival, Mr. Charlie confirmed
that Jerry will
not travel with a private jet like what the news
reported. Because
this is an event to meet with the fans. We should let
the fans close
up with Jerry as much as possible. And about meeting
with the press,
there would be one but after the event had ended
because Jerry will
need to use much time to prepare himself before the
event starts.

HONG KONG – Retired actress Lin Ching-hsia may have
backed Kuomintang leader Lien Chan for president, but
younger Taiwanese stars are a more shy lot –
politically speaking, that is.
Sing Tao Daily says presidential campaigning
committees are offering as much as NT$6 million
(S$410, 8000) to the top pop idol, Jay Chou, to sing
three songs at a rally.
This is more than what some singers are paid for a
full concert.
Likewise, boyband F4 has been offered NT$5 million.
But Chou and F4’s record label, Sony Music, has
declined on their behalf, because it has no wish for
its stars to take a stand on politics.
Meanwhile, girl group S.H.E sang at Lien’s rally
recently, for NT$1.2 million. But the girls said their
performance was just part of their commitment to a
company they were endorsing.

Jerry Yan - Dream Prince Becomes Rock and Roll
Jerry Yan - Dream Prince Becomes Rock and Roll
Fades from F4's image, works hard in studio, one
year's hard work to give fans a surprise this holidays
Jerry fans please look this way, Jerry has spent over
1 year on his album and will release it in May this
year. Singapore producer has flown over to Taiwan to
work with Jerry and will let Jerry fade from the F4's
dreamy image. Jerry says: "I don't want to be a
prince, rather I'm a rock and roller." Producer Liu
also says that Jerry has cleared his other duties to
focus on his album, not eating and drinking to record
through the nights. Jerry's beauty and endurance is
surprising and has a very broad voice range. Some fake
sounds, he can sing up to 14 degrees.
Even though there are many films requesting Jerry from
HK, Jerry's main focus now is his album. To give
audience a good listen, he went to Japan to learn
singing for about 4 months. The results are audible,
Jerry now knows how to control his body and voice to
express the mood of the song.
In regards to this album, Jerry was very assertive
about what he wanted and told them to his producers.
He wanted it to have a unique lang zi rock and roll
feel, as well as a cultural feel, with a taste of
south east Asia. There's also slow songs as well but
focused more on rock. His image is completely
different to before and hopes that fans will get a
surprise out of it.
When he's in the recording room, he is very focused
and would stay until midnight, full of energy.
Producer Si saw his persistence and was moved by it.
Jerry even tries writing his own songs and according
to producer Liu, Jerry has a talent for it. Jerry has
completed 7 songs out of 10, which he had to choose
from a selection of over 1000. Jerry says that if he
doesn't sing well, then he's not living up to the
fan's expectations. When F4 sang Meteor Rain, no one
could clearly hear Jerry's voice, but this holidays,
he will bring rock and roll to the hearts of his fans.

THE POP BOYBANDS ARE ALRIGHT
THE POP BOYBANDS ARE ALRIGHT
By Xtian Ji Huang
CN TV, China
March 17, 2004
IS it time to wave bye, bye, bye to teen pop? Critics
seem to think so.
But they were sounding the death knell for teen ear
candy back in January,
after Vic Chou's album failed to sell high-expected
figures.
Even as boy band 5566 releases "Second album" - one of
the year's most
in-demand discs - music critics are predicting the
death of bubble-gum pop.
FTV declared in a headline on Friday, "Boy bands
starting to feel some backlash."
" 'Pop' Goes the Teen Boom?" asked Entertainment U in
February, after Chou released the single
"Ji De Wo Ai Ni." The article went on to say the
"music industry is anticipating a downturn because it
believes teens are burned out on the sound."
And Asia News Service recently reported, "Teen pop may
be petering out."
It's more a matter of taste than truth. Sure, F4 not
the Beatles or even the Spinners, but
don't tell that to 14-year olds, who still cause a
traffic jam in Taichung when any of
their pop idols are on.
Hey, critics never liked teen pop to begin with. And
teen pop idols like F4 and 5566 don't like
critics as well, to begin with.
And, if teen pop is a fading fad, store owners don't
know it. They've ordered million copies of
ZZ's new album, the same number they ordered for the
group 5566 mega hit "Second Album."
But if *ZZ's and soon-to-release album Ken and
Vanness's new effort fail to match or
exceed their first album sales (group or solo) - the
disc will be deemed a failure.
And critics will start saying it's over for the
pop-culture phenom.
But that's wishful thinking.
Even dumber are those - like Apple Daily - who suggest
Yen's very adult problems of
immaturity and unprofessionalism signal the end of the
teen musical trend.
If booze and the blues could end a musical trend, rock
'n' roll would have died
long before Elvis did and we'd all be doing the waltz.
F4 will always remain in the history of Music,
Entertainment and Asia. The hell with the critics.
If the critics say Vic's album expect to sale 2M, and
he only sold 1.5M, does that mean his
album is a failure? I don't think so...

ZZ - 20,000,000 a month
Rich commerce likes young girls with a good stature.
Rich women like cutie gigolos and bold men with
well-built bodies as well as handsome guys. The
entertainment circle is the headquarters of ferocious
males. It’s only natural that this is the holy place
for millionaire ladies.
From the 80s’ Leslie Cheung, Andy Lau, Ray Liu to the
90s’ Tony Leung, Leon, until today’s Zai Zai, Jerry
Yan and Bae Yong Jun, all are the most wanted male
celebrities of rich ladies. In order to touch the
hearts of these actors, wealthy women are willing to
take out 5,000,000 to 8,000,000 HKD (NT 22,500,000 to
36,000,000).
A few days ago, handsome Korean actor Bae Yong Jun
promoted his new movie in Taiwan arousing madness
among female fans. But looking ahead, among these
females, the majority are wealthy ladies. They have
money and leisure. When they chase celebrities they
obviously spend a ton booking charabancs, rooms, and
fields. They make people aware of middle-aged women’s
grand offerings, not losing to young people.
With the same principle, if millionaire women have a
male celebrity as their target, the money they throw
out really can kill people. Last year, Vic Zhou and
Ken Zhu promoted their drama “Love Storm” in
Indonesia. The two created a whirlwind, receiving a
very warm welcome by young female fans.
However, this is not what confounded the staff members
because there was a middle-aged lady who claimed to be
rich. She said she owned a bank, forest, department
store and other industries. She said, “As long as F2
Vic Zhou and Ken Zhu are willing to be supported, just
give me a price!” This almost frightened the two guys
to death.
The upper class in Hong Kong has always had a price
list of supported female celebrities. They also have a
price ranking of the most popular supported male
celebrities. From this chart, it’s not difficult to
see that male celebrities that the rich ladies like
sequent with generation and trend.
Next few paragraphs on some Hong Kong celebrities and
the amount rich ladies gave to support them.
In 2000, these celebrities are in their 30s and 40s so
they do not meet with wealthy ladies’ demands of
“young and fresh.” Therefore, nowadays, Zai Zai, Jerry
Yan and Jay Chou have become the three most wanted men
by rich ladies for care.
In order to take care of these 3 handsome celebrities,
these rich ladies have offered millions. For Zai Zai’s
support price, a month is 5,000,000 HKD (NT
22,500,000), Jerry’s is 3,000,000HKD a month and Jay’s
is 2,000,000HKD a month.
The reason why all 3 stars are from Taiwan is probably
because there hasn't been any new artists that stands
out in HK and the old ones don't have anything
refreshing.
Rich Ladies Love Zai Zai Most
This person expressed that Zai Zai's gentilesse and
obedient appearance not only attract young girls, but
also recieves gazes from wealthy women. And Zai Zai's
shyness and his lovable traits arousing rich ladies'
maternity. That's why he is the champion for most
popular male celebrity wanted by rich ladies.
