ZZ didn’t get to cast his first presidential vote
ZZ didn’t get to cast his first presidential vote
The Mars crew only got half a day off for voting.
There just wasn’t enough time for him to go to YinLan,
his hometown, to vote and then back to shoot Mars by
noon.
First time ever he had a chance to vote, it is too bad
that he had to miss out on it.

Vanness Wu Says Next Album Will Sound 'Different'
Vanness Wu Says Next Album Will Sound 'Different'
March 17, 2004
When a music critic suggested to F4 recently that the
world in which his
career was spawned is a distant memory, the singer
immediately got defensive.
"Teen pop will never be dead," he said. "The death of
teen pop and its venue as it was,
sure, but ... as long as there's teens and as long as
we have culture with popular music
in it, teen pop will never die, as far as I'm
concerned. I just think it takes on a
different head."
So when he starts with his 2nd solo album, expect him
to take on different
heads, and not in a cool, special effects sort of way,
as he's done in the past.
"I know that it would have to be something a little
new,
creative and different," he said. "And so I can't make
any promises on what
it's going to sound like, or if i even feel confident
enough to put it out. I mean,
I'm sure I will."

Vanness in 3-night concert with 'Starstruck' stars
Vanness in 3-night concert with 'Starstruck' stars
Source: People's Tonight March 6, 2004
It is confirmed that Vanness Wu will be having a three-night solo concert. He will perform first in Expo Filipino, Clark Pampanga on the 26th of March. Next is in Araneta Coliseum on the 27th. Last stop will in Abellana Sports Complex, Cebu City on March 29.
Phoenix Productions would like to inform everyone that this is a solo concert by Vanness Wu and it isn't true that Jerry Yan or Ken Chu will be joining him. The title of the show is Starstruck with Vanness because there is a possibility that Vanness will be joined by some Starstruck members if GMA7 will permit. The participation of the said artists are still under negotiation, but since Channel 7 is the media partner of the producer, it is possible that Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras could join Vanness. Aside from them, there are also two other Filipino guest singers in the concert of the F4 member.
It is just intriguing since there were some fans of F4 who got angry when Dingdong Dantes mentioned that Starstruck finalist are the reason why the Taiwanese group disappeared and then now they will be taking part in Vanness' concert.

It's a Jerry party!
You knew that fans of F4's Jerry Yan meant business when they tried to mob Outlook's lensman for his press badge, then tried to convince him to take their questions to this Asian superstar during the interview session on Yan's exclusive promotional trip ``Pepsi Jerry Party in Bangkok'' last Sunday at the Bangkok Convention Centre.
``It feels good to be here in Thailand. I'm so happy to be meeting my Thai fans,'' said Yan, one of the four members of Asia's biggest boy bands.
It probably didn't feel so ``good'' to adoring fans who waited in line overnight for a shot at getting admission tickets to the party. According to reports, those who showed up at 4am on D-day couldn't get a hold of one, and bidding for tickets was said to have gone as high as 300,000 baht.
Waiting, however, wasn't the only trouble these fans went through. They also had to collect 150 Pepsi bottle tops in order to camp out in the line, keeping their fingers crossed.
Pepsi said the reason for bringing their latest regional presenter to Thailand was to ``express our appreciation to consumers''.
The fans _ about 99.99 percent female _ certainly showed their own appreciation, constantly screaming and waving heart-shaped balloons for over an hour while the surly guards kept tight control over this overzealous reaction by being unnecessarily harsh and fuddy-duddy.
The excitement inside the hall was so thick you could have cut it with a butter knife, but it went up a notch when Yan appeared on-stage wearing a blue Pepsi sweater, white pants and sharp cheekbones.
After singing but one song, Yan went through a series of banal games with lucky winners, answering equally banal questions. He seemed to be quiet. Mostly he uttered ``hoa hoa'' (good, good) with a few ``mmm's'' here and there, yet was pleasant enough, walking through the whole hoopla as agreed.
The first game involved pre-selected winners who came on-stage to battle it out in a Yan trivia contest. It didn't matter who won as they got to be close to this 27-year-old heart-throb.
The second game was rather more exciting. Lucky winners paired up and pushed Pepsi carts through a collapsing wall composed of _ of course _ Pepsi boxes. Those with the fastest time were the winners. Two of the three teams fell down, alarming Yan, who was quick on his feet to go to their rescue.
More of the same ensued.
The most entertaining bit might have been when Yan was urged to get his camcorder to record his Thai fans. As the press release, handed out beforehand, promised: ``Surprisingly, the show touchingly ends up with Jerry taping his fans on video himself to keep as his precious memories.''
Very touching, indeed.
Back stage for a large group interview with the local press, who couldn't stop clicking shutters for even one second, Yan was still relaxed and continued to smile politely. It was a wonder that this superstar could keep himself under such control.
Questions were collected and possibly screened beforehand. Nobody understood why the very same questions that had been asked on-stage came back and haunted Yan yet once more _ the local press machine must be really curious to know what type of girl Yan prefers.
The answer, from both on- and off-stage: ``I like girls who love their families and can take care of the household properly. I also like girls who understand me, and who are beautiful from the inside.''
To sum it up quickly, it transpires that Yan wishes to explore Thailand more, thinks Thai fans are lively and eager, would be a professional basketball player if he weren't in showbiz, keeps fit by exercising and, most importantly, might consider a Thai girl as a possible mate when he learns the language.
On a more important subject, the reunification of F4, Yan remains positive though each member has more or less gone their separate ways, doing movies and TV series, writing and releasing solo albums after the mega success of the TV series, Meteor Garden I and II, which launched the respective careers of the four lads, and the two F4 albums.
``If opportunities arise, we will work together again. But now all of us are busy doing our own things. So if time and chance allow, it will happen, definitely,'' said Yan, or ``Jer-Ly'' to his Thai fans.
For the time being, he's working on a solo album, set to be released in May if everything goes according to plan. ``Now I'm in the phase of collecting songs. It's too early to tell what kind of music it will be. I hope to come back to Thailand for a concert or for a promotional trip after releasing my album,'' he said.

Jerry Yan Went to Thailand alone to Meet fans
Jerry Yan Went to Thailand alone to Meet fans
Taiwan boyband F4 member, Jerry Yan, arranged a meet the fans session in Thailand, Bangkok in the position of a Pepsi spokesperson. He attracted lots of people, and the scene was not losing to any events that F4 attended.
In order to welcome Jerry, thai fans not only put up welcome banners, they even sang together along with the music. It's seen of Jerry's charm in Southeast Asia. This time, F4 isn't seen together and Jerry has did his own individual Pepsi promo, is it a sign of them developing individually?

Jerry in Bangkok, but keeps up with elections
Jerry in Bangkok, but keeps up with elections
After casting his vote, Jerry flew to Thailand to participate in yesterday’s Pepsi Meet the Fans Session held in Bangkok. This event attracted 3,000 fans from all over the world. Suspended by the elections back in Taiwan, in the two days, his friend kept him up to date about them. His mood was astonished and nervous, he kept on saying, “Can’t be in confusion, must have peace, must have safetry.”
This year, only Jerry and Ken voted. Zai Zai filmed “Mars” and Vanness is an American citizen so he can’t vote. But everyone cares for the results of the election. When Jerry arrived in Thailand in the evening he contacted with his Taiwan friend, his mood following the ups and downs of the election. When the results came out, he actually was a bit shocked.
Yesterday, he returned to Taipei from Bangkok. He read all kinds of news on the elections on the plane. Once he arrived he immediately called home to tell them he safely landed. Broker, Zhi Xiang Li said that he had the butterflies with tremendous ups and downs. He only wanted Taiwan to be stable and didn’t think about anything else. In the coming days, Jerry’s main focus will be his album.

Zai Zai’s stand-in loses conscious on the spot
Zai Zai’s stand-in loses conscious on the spot Vic Zhou and Barbie Hsu’s idol drama “Mars” needed to take a special trip to Xian Tai, Japan to film at the Yamaha racing track. In order to make Zai Zai’s role, Ling, to correspond with the professional racer in the manga, they hired a Japanese designer to help make Zai Zai two sets of racing clothes worth almost 500,000 dollars with two additional special racing helmets. Going to Japan this time to work, Vic Zhou said that the deepest impression was when everyone had to do warm-up exercises, “shoveling snow,” everyday in the morning before work started. Whether it was the staff members or the actors, everyone had to shovel all the snow on the racing track in order to start filming. Sometimes, in order to make the snow melt faster, they used a furnace to melt the remainder of the snow to insure the safety of all actors. For the filming of “Mars,” the Japanese side’s manufacturing unit especially invited many Japanese GP racers to go to Xian Tai to play the role of Zai Zai’s stand-ins. This really touched the drama group. Producer Angie Cai frankly said, “Everyone must pay attention to all the actors’ safety guard facilities. If an accident occurs, we really can’t pay the price.” When filming “Mars,” there was an accident that makes one frightened. There was this one scene where Zai Zai takes part in a competition. When they began filming, the director first asked a professional to do a demonstration. In the scene of a batch of soaring motorcycles, when Zai Zai’s stand-in started to prepare to set off, he had to abandon the motorcycle and jump off as a result of a sudden burnout from the cold weather. The motorcycle hit the one in the front. The cascade terrified everyone. This stand-in for Zai Zai didn’t have enough time to get up and was hit by the motorcycles coming from the back. He appeared to be in a state of unconsciousness for at time. However, one the ambulance arrived, the medical staff prepared a stretcher to send him to a hospital. All of a sudden, he miraculously woke up. This made everyone take a sigh of relief. Zai Zai, who witnessed this accident at the side, straightforwardly said that it’s very dangerous. If it had happened to him, the aftermath would be unimaginable. Source: ETToday Translated by Amy of http://f4ever.azn.nu
