Zai Zai Likely To Outsell Everyone But himself
Zai Zai Likely To Outsell Everyone But himself
Vic's second Solo Album is turning out to be huge for
Chou, though
maybe not as huge as
first one's Make A Wish. Four national retail chains
said Monday
(March 15) that based
on first-day sales of Chou's Second Album, projected
first-week
numbers appeared to be
falling on sales of the SoundScan era.
But Chou's album, does not seem to be on course to top
the first-best
sales mark
held by 5566, if compared, retailers said. "Based on
what I'm seeing
so far, I'm
projecting millions in sales in asia of the albums of
5566 than Vic,
like so far the releases
of the debut albums of F4 and 5566, 5566 album flew
off the shelves
and even ran out of stock to
sell for buyers...said Bell, music buyer for the Music
chain.
"It may not meet the mark of the Second Album of 5566,
but in the
end, Chou hopefully can
still manage to hold at least the #3 if not the #1
which is the
position for the quintet"
Through this, many people have been predicting the
death of the F4
phenomenon, but anyone
predicting that ZZ will also be over should be proven
wrong.
On other stores, ZZ's album also was wiped off the
shelves but failed
to match the
sales of Second Album by 5566. Best Megastores echoed
that statement,
pinning Chou's sales at only 70 percent of those of
5566.
"We're very encouraged," Hanson from the TR said. "We
think it'll do
as well, if not better,
than 5566."

VANNESS WU STRIKES AGAIN - WORRY NO MORE FOR F4
VANNESS WU STRIKES AGAIN - WORRY NO MORE FOR F4
Worried about the future of F4?
Don't be. Even if Justified turns Vanness Wu might
turn into a solo
superstar,
we have a feeling that the group won't be officially
disbanding any
time soon.
Wu spoke about some of the issues that have been
weighing on his
fans' minds:
On the fact that a lot of people are concerned about
F4's future...
"I don't really understand [that]. If they're curious
about what
we're going to do,
then I understand. [But] there's always going to be a
group."
On other on-again, off-again groups, that F4 want to
compare
themselves to...
"I don't see us as anything, like any other group. We
all are
different!
I'm sorry - as far as I'm concerned, we're making our
own rules.
That's what we've always done. We never tried to be
like this and
like that.
We always just wanted to be us, and that's what we're
doing."
On how the other members of F4 feel about him
"might-be embarking on
a solo career"...
"Everybody is very supportive. As much as everyone
wants to
participate, they're going to.
It's going to be cool.Nothing is final yet"
On mistakes Wu made before taking control of their
career...
"There were just things that we were like, well, we
don't know how
to
do this, so we can't do it.
In every aspect. We depended on producers to come in
and tell us how
to sound
because we weren't exactly sure what we were doing.
But then it got
to the point
where we learned more, and you sit in the studio and
you're a
sponge.
You soak up everything, and you learn more and learn
more, and
you're
like,
'I can do this.' And then you find out that what's
been inside of
you -
Everything in life is a journey, and for me
personally, every step
that
I've taken has led me to the music I do these days. So
I don't think
I'd
give up anything. I don't think I'd change anything.
It's cool, man.
It's a cool place to be."
On Vanness's next album... Is your new album going to
sound like
Body
Will Sing? Is it going to be more R&B?
"It could be whatever we want it to be. However we go
into the
studio,
and whatever we're vibing - We could if we wanted to,
and that's the
beauty of having
so many heads that have so many different influences,
you know?
You go in and make the music that you want to make
that feels good
to
you,
and hopefully people like it. I don't think there's
any other way to
be an artist."

Jay and F4 refused to perform for Taiwan Election, 3/16 Hong Kong SingDao Daily
Jay and F4 refused to perform for Taiwan Election, 3/16 Hong Kong SingDao Daily
Star Effect has entered into Taiwanese political
arena. The presidential election on March 20 is
imminent. Quite a few political parties spend big
money to invite stars to various events to attract
voters. But Jay and F4 don–t want to make money when
it comes to politics.
The once-every-four-year Taiwan presidential election
will be held on March 20. A rash of activities has
been busily conducted to garner votes by each party.
Reportedly many campaign groups have invited stars to
help promotion; pays are better than regular
performances. In the 2000 presidential election, A-Mei
Chang was paid 5 million NT dollars to sing one song.
Reportedly, this year campaign groups are focusing on
younger Taiwanese idols. The hottest one is Jay, who
was offered 6 million NT dollars (equivalent to 1 and
half million Hong Kong dollars) to sing three songs,
which is higher than a 3-hour concert. Next is F4, who
was offered 5 million NT dollars (equivalent to one
and a quarter million HK dollars) to sing one song
together.
To avoid showing clear political positions, most
record companies and agencies do not accept offers for
their stars to entertain in political functions. Jay
and F4 are just some examples. Taiwan Sony Music
rejected many invitations for them with thanks, saying
both Jay and F4 are occupied with other assignments.

ZZ Filming in Snow - Forgets Coat:
ZZ Filming in Snow - Forgets Coat:
ZZ know for his cool appearance was in Japan filming
his new drama serial. The temperature was below 0
degree celcius, assistant had to get thick coats and
warmers for ZZ.
At the moment, ZZ is at Xian Tai filming MARS. He
didn't realise how could it would be until he arrived
and he didn't bring any thick jumpers, so he had to
ring his assistant in Taiwan for help. He was saying
to through the phone: "So cold!" Co-workers know ZZ is
afraid of the cold, so they immediately got him a
thicker coat and lots of hand warmers.
In ZZ's album, there was a scene with man made snow
but ZZ found it a bit unrealistic. Now that he is
faced with real snow, he's not as excited as
anticipated. Frozen until his lips turned blue, ZZ
says: "This is the first in a real snow field but my
brain is frozen."
Due to the snow, filming is delayed. Yesterday the
snow died down and the filming resumed. The first
scene is ZZ riding a heavy bike. As F4 are
spokespeople of YAMAHA, all filming by the four guys
will be sponsored by YAMAHA.
At the Sport Land Sugo car arena, ZZ received a
thunderous cheer when he rode around for one lap.
Apparently, there were over 300 temporary actors, most
of them were ZZ's Japanese fans. Just to get a glimpse
of their idol, they were willing to take part without
pay. However, it was already agreed that they could
not take photos or ask for autographs during that
time, otherwise they would be asked to leave.
ZZ does not understand Japanese, so he could only
smile and wave to greet his fans. ZZ is fated with
Japan though, as most of the serials he has filmed are
all from Japanese comics. ZZ's first trip overseas was
to Japan to film Meteor Garden. If he gets the chance,
he will try to learn some Japanese so he can
communicate with his fans.

Celebrities living in presidential suites
F4 illuminates
Posted: March 14, 2004
F4 became popular because of "Meteor Garden." Not only are they popular in
Taiwan and China, a "Meteor Rain" album makes all Southeast Asia fans go wild.
Last year the four guys went to Indonesia to hold a concert. Their management
company arranged a 5-star presidental suite for them. And for F4's safety they
had very strict security.
F4 has never lived in a presidential suite before. After being in a commodious
and extremely comfortable presidential suite, Vanness loves the jacuzzi the
most; Ken loves the computer room the most; Jerry would put big and small gifts
from fans on the table in the guest room; ZZ is loves the big bed in the
presidential suite bedroom the most, "I only have to lie on the chuan2 [boat]
(suppose to be chuang2 [bed]) and I'll fall asleep."

Official website big secret hunt -- F4
Official website big secret hunt -- F4
After F4 became popular because of “Meteor Garden,” they brought about a
sensation across the global Chinese market. Their popularity extends to various
regions and they also have many international websites established. Furthermore,
the sphere of influence by these official websites extends overseas. Besides fan
clubs and fan sites in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, there are also many in
Southeast Asia, America and Canada. These different regional websites and fan
clubs frequently intercommunicate and communicate with all countries. They even
create all sorts of their own interrelated merchandise to satisfy their members’
needs. They chase their idols.
“Zui Ai Yan Cheng Xu Jia Zu” (Household That Loves Jerry the Most –
http://yanchengxu.net)
“Bao Long” Jerry Yan has many international fan clubs, but “Zui Ai Yan Cheng Xu
Jia Zu” is best representative. This website was officially established in
September of 2001. Currently just the Taiwanese members reach up to 7,000
members. The membership fee each year for “Zui Ai Yan Cheng Xu Jia Zu” is 500
dollars. Not only do they have set dates for gatherings, but also the last time
Jerry’s movie “Magic Kitchen” premiered in Taiwan, more than 300 of the clan
members especially booked theaters in northern China. Jerry also attended to
join the glee. Household members will also personally cook chicken soup and
bring it to the filming location to give to Jerry. Basically, these fans are
classified as “intellectual model” that are silently supporting and caring for
Jerry with real action.
“Zui Ai Yan Cheng Xu Jia Zu’s” official website’s member interrelated
merchandise not only includes membership cards, but also exclusive member
T-shirts, Jerry calendars, a record of Bao Long’s activity VCDs, activity cards,
the household announcement cards and more. Each year, they will also publish
advertisements with birthday wishes to Jerry in various newspapers. At the same
time they would regularly donate money in the name of their household and many
fund raisers. And big household gatherings are also held to discuss about Bao
Long’s whereabouts and share knowledge with each together. They would sometimes
hold fellowship activities too to exchange the latest Jerry developments and
interrelated information.

5566 TONY SUN DEFENDED F4
5566 TONY SUN DEFENDED F4
Inside Entertainment rolled out their big boy band: Energy and 5566.
During the time that F4 has been a disaster, that left the door open for Energy and 5566 and all together
they walked through the door" The Door of real Success!
5566 & Energy work hard and deserve the breakthrough. The F4 and their management directed their anger
and thinking that it was a conflict of interest for them to be compared to mirror image boys.
In response to accusations by Energy that F4 boys have lost its drive, 5566 group member, Tony Sun
said :"F4 are trying to find a balance, right projects and right timing, but it doesn't mean that they have
lost its drive. I, personally have looked up to F4 because I admire them for what they have earned and gained
in the industry, we still wish we can reach up to that level."
As the battle of the boybands intensified, the band found itself unable to proceed with their careers regardless
of what they hear and read.
Contrary to the rumor on what Kun Da has commented recently about F4 losing its magic touch and it's over
for them the business is ours together with Milk, both from Energy,
5566 Leader, Sun clarified the matter : "i don't know anything
about energy's comment but when people were throwing that big number on the table,
it was tempting to answer back, we rather not! But it hurts us when taiwan bands are being compared
and much worse when one says something
bad to another one that would create something to worry about. We cannot control fans from saying things that are
sometimes painful, we cannot stop media from writing about us, F4 or Energy, but all we ask is the risk, and
pay attention to the word "limit".
JJ, a well known artist in Taiwan also declared war on F4 and 5566, and even terrified to bring Energy boys back to
school. JJ laid the cards of truth saying 5566 is the real king in Asia especially in Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia
and home-based Taiwan and that F4 was never a popular band if not for Meteor Garden.
Tony Sun quoted : "Thank you for the praises but I don't agree with what he has said, but its his opinion and everyone
deserves to have one. As what I said F4 created a name for themselves in the music and entertainment industry and
I will still support them 110% no matter what will happen whether they gone out for solos or re-group. F4 and
5566 for the knowledge of majority, are friends, sometimes we cannot control the comparison, its a healthy
competition, and with that, it's no problem, issues has just been blown out of proportion, everything has."
Going solos? So do you exactly believe that F4 has broken down and Jerry Yan is going solo?
"If one says it no matter how serious you are or not, if one is in a boyband everything he says gets
picked up on. If you'd ask me, he deserves to stay in the group.
I was also upset about the comments other people were saying about F4 and I don't think there was any
need for the things they were saying. Those were thoughtless and I even ask 5566 fans especially those who
have fan groups in the internet where they read news like this to stay away from this and to not comment anything
against F4 or any band because we, 5566, want to have clean and kind fans . It's really unfair that people
go on punishing one because of one comment."

Jerry and His Mother Suffere Together, Swore To Become Famous
Jerry and His Mother Suffere Together, Swore To Become Famous
Posted: March 14, 2003

Yan Cheng Xu (Jerry) becomes famous. His mother is the first person he thanks.
There are many idols that come from single-parent families. Currently immensely popular celebrity Zhou Jie Lun (Jay Chou), F4, Xiao Ya Xuan (Elva), Li Wen (Coco Lee), Zheng Yuan Chang, Xu Ruo Xuan (Vivian Hsu), Li Wei, Qiu Ze, Xu Huai Yu, etc. all came from single-parent families. In the depths of their hearts, there is a point missing in the circle and for that reason, they work even harder, using the accomplishments of their work to replace what they lacked during the course of their growth.
According to a conservative estimate, idol artistes with such similar fortunes make up about sixty or seventy percent of the entertainment circle. During the course of their growth, they have bitter yet warm little tales. During times that they suffer grief, unlike others, they cannot pour out their troubles to their mother and father at the same time. They can only hide in a corner and secretly cry. When the tears flow down their face, they learn the taste of growing up yet it also creates the guarantee of a quality of "independence, endurance, and suffering" market.
F4's Yan Cheng Xu (Jerry), Zhou Yu Min (Zai Zai), Wu Jian Hao (Vanness), and Zhu Xiao Tian (Ken) all came from a single-parent household. A quality that they have in common is the courage to try, unafraid of failure. Yan Cheng Xu (Jerry) is the one who throughout his childhood experienced the most misery of the four. His father passed away when he was in elementary school, grade four. The family's condition was simple and miserable. His mother carried the whole family on her one shoulder, looking for work everywhere. Every winter break, he and his sister must go to the factory to work at odd jobs. In those days, they lived in a garret with a sheet iron roof. In the summer, it was hot and stuffy and difficult to bare but they had no money to buy an air conditioner. The whole family of three crowded together wiping their sweat like rain. He swore then, "One day, I must let mom live happy days. I must stand out and become someone."
Later, Yan Cheng Xu (Jerry), based on the spirit of "taking sufferings and treating them as supplements" that he had nurtured since his childhood, he eventually won a piece of heaven in the entertainment circle.
