truth about the disbandment of F4
Manager reveals for the 1st time, the truth about the
disbandment of F4
Rumor #1: The truth about the disbandment of F4
According to a particular newspaper which reportedly
received
reliable news, reported that Jerry Yan, who has only 6
mths left to
his existing contract with his management agency, has
the intention
of forming his own company for his own future
developments, and he's
holding a very firm stance on his decision to not
extend his current
contract. As such, F4 will officially disband come
September. That
article also provided a very clear view regarding the
contracts F4
signed. That is, the 4 of them currently belong to
Taiwan Fulong,
Ken Chu has signed a 10-year contract a long time ago,
Vic Chou has
also extended his contract by 3 yrs at the start of
this year, thus
leaving Vanness Wu and Jerry Yan, both having 6 mths
left to their
contracts. Fulong is currently trying very hard to get
the 2 of them
to extend their contracts, as understood, the chances
of Vanness
extending his is very high, whereas Jerry Yan is
proving to be a
very difficult target, he has told Fulong straight
that he intends
to form his own company to manage his own
developments. He's bent on
leaving, as such, it's unavoidable that F4 will
disband
Clarification #1
Zhi Xiang Li too seems very helpless when he was
replying our
questions, but still, he made the simplest rebuttal:
"No such thing.
It's the first time we've heard this, this rumor will
occur almost
every month. There's no such thing."
With regards to the particular newspaper reporting
that Jerry wish
to form his own company, Zhi Xiang Li clarified that
actually each
of F4 have all along have had their own company, that
being offices
opened under their own names. "They had these offices
since they
signed the contracts with us", Zhi Xiang Li said: "In
Taiwan, every
artiste will open an office of their own, this is for
them to handle
some of their private stuff."
As for the most debatable question regarding Jerry
Yan's contract,
Zhi Xiang Li insisted that Jerry's contract with them
will not be
ending so soon, but they have been discussing the
issue of extending
his contract. As for the progress of the discussion,
he said: "The
discussion went very happily, but this is confidential
to our
company.
Rumor #2: F4 is not a group
To support the 'fact' that F4 has already disbanded,
that particular
newspaper reported that since last year, basically
each of F4 have
already started on their individual developments -
Jerry filmed
<Magic Kitchen>, Vanness filmed <Star Runner>, Ken
filmed <Sky of
Love>, while Vic concentrated on filming idol drama
<Love Storm>.
Also, when they were interviewed on several occasions,
they insisted
that the 4 of them only got together because of
<Meteor Garden>, and
that they hope that come the future, each of them will
be able to
identify his own goals and work towards that. But even
though the
disbandment of F4 is at hand, the 4 of them cannot
avoid the
possibility of working together again, because the
commercial
contracts they signed with Pepsi and S&K were signed
under the name
of F4, as such, if the advertisors organises any
promotion, the 4 of
them will have to come together as F4 again.
Clarification #2
With regards to this question, Zhi Xiang Li feels that
"we'll need
to have a really long discussion". Because, it seems
that till now,
others still don't seem to understand the nature of
the existence of
the group F4. "Initially, the 4 of them is neither a
group nor a
boyband. In <Meteor Garden>, their roles is that of a
group, but
when they signed their contracts with us, it was as
individuals, and
not as a group, hence now we are also waiting for good
scripts, good
music, only then will they be able to come together as
a group.
There may be some concerns raised towards Zhi Xiang
Li's answer,
because looking at F4's current hectic schedule, it
seems almost
impossible that the 4 of them will be able to spare
some time to
come together to film a drama serial, but still, he
brought another
good news: "We still want to hold concerts. Hopefully
by year end or
beginning of next year, we'll be able to hold a
worldwide tour.
Rumor #3: We did not get others to sing on behalf
Another recent issue is that recently, while being
interviewed by a
HongKong radio station, Luo Da Yuo announced publicly
that he does
not like F4, because entertainment factor stood 90% of
F4's music,
making it totally different from actual music. He even
said that a
friend told him that when F4 sings the harmonization
part of their
songs, it's not totally sang by them alone, but got
others to sing
on their behalf.
Clarification #3
With regards to Luo's criticisms, Zhi Xiang Li
insisted that they
did not get others to sing and emphasized that that's
only back-up
vocals: "You all also listen to a lot of cds, actually
nowadays back-
up vocals need not be sang by yourself, you can employ
professional
back-up singers to sing it for you, but the main vocal
is still sang
by themselves. Be it Jay Chou, Jolin Cai or Elva
Hsiao, they also
employed professional back-up singers to act as their
back-up
vocals!"
As for the part about entertainment factor exceeding
that of real
music, F4's album producer Liu Tian Jian said
adamantly the other
day that the music industry itself is an entertainment
industry, and
F4 is an entertainment group, entertainment is a
singer's
responsibility. Compared to Liu's outburst, Zhi Xiang
Li's answer is
much more polite: "Everyone has his/her own standard
towards
appreciating any songs, he's a senior, of course we
will thank him
for his guidance and comments."
Then will F4 change their music direction because of
this? Zhi Xiang
Li feels that: "We can't do anything about this,
because there's
always so many comments, F4's fans feel that their
songs are very
nice, we'll not change their music direction just
because Teacher
Luo said that their songs contain too much of the
entertainment
factor, what if we change the type of music they do,
and the fans
feel that their songs are not nice, then what are we
to do? But of
course, we'll still look for songs that suit the 4 of
them.

Vanness Wu "Proposing" Big Risk
Vanness Wu "Proposing" Big Risk
March 3, 2004
Intensely chasing the distressed girl Hebe, noble
prince Vanness shows his love. In “Qiu Hun Shi Wu
Suo’s” (Office Proposal) first monophyletic, “Ma Que
Bian Feng Huang” (Sparrow Transforms into a Phoenix),
Hebe portrays a girl from an impoverished family. In
order to marry Hebe, not only was Vanness mutinous to
his family in the drama, he even eloped with her. In
the end he also overcame acrophobia and stood on top
of bridge and screams to Hebe, showing his love for
her.
Vanness, who have played as a rich guy several times,
will once again play a noble prince in “Office
Proposal.” But that this time he’ll be learning
“Meteor Garden’s” Bao Long and San Cai. The male is
rich and the female is poor. However, to seek true
love, Vanness will first break off all ties with his
mother, acted by Xu Gui Ying. In order to win Hebe’s
heart, the acrophobic Vanness let out tooth and nail
and climbed up a bridge to shout to the world, “I
swear I will definitely marry you.”
Because the winds were too strong the day of the
shooting, Vanness didn’t climb up the bridge. The
mischievous Hebe first said in a frightened state, “Be
careful! The winds are so strong today, you must be
careful or you’ll fall down!” Vanness at the side
showed no signs of fear until the director ordered him
to stand atop. Vanness, who was originally not afraid
of heights, had signs of fear taking over him and
blurted out, “Will we be filming long? I’m already
feeling light headed!”

Calling all overseas Jerry Yan fans
Calling all overseas Jerry Yan fans to gather
at Taiwan to support Jerry's first solo album
----------------
Jerry Yan fans from www.nbbbs.com are calling
for worldwide Jerry fans to show their support
by turning up in Taiwan to support his first
album. We have all waited so long for Jerry's
album and it is exciting to know that it is
near completion. As this is Jerry's first solo
album, we wish to appeal to all Jerry fans to
give their full support.
Jerry's first movie Magic Kitchen? has ended its
successful run with the support of his
worldwide fans. We have made many first
attempts and achieved the impossible. During the
one month when the movie was screened, Jerry
fans in many countries have booked whole
cinemas to show their support and to have the
fun of watching the movie together with fellow
fans. This was started by Hong Kong which was
organized by www.nbbbs.com. Such action by fans
have generated 37 media reports, of which 15
have hit the headlines, and successfully reach
the promotional effect that Jerry fans hoped to
achieve.
To have the best promotional effect for Jerry's
solo album, www.nbbbs.com would like to invite
all fellow worldwide Jerry fans to come
together and group at Taiwan to attend his
meet-the-fans session together. The effect will
be astounding and will no doubt cause a stir
and show the Taiwan media and Jerry's
countrymen how popular Jerry is worldwide.
We are considering booking a whole plane to go
over to Taiwan, booking tours, coaches and
coming up with common banner, hand signs and
even dressing.
The following is suggested :
1. To start off from Hong Kong. Worldwide fans
will first gather in Hong Kong and then
travel from Hong Kong to Taiwan in a specially
booked plane solely for Jerry fans
2. Travel in specially booked coaches in Taiwan
to the meet-the-fans session. The coaches will
be decorated with specially designed banners
3. To have common dressing, hand-signs and
banners to achieve greater visual effect
There have been many rumours recently about
Jerry's expiring contract with his company. We
have to support Jerry all the way, even if
his record company has a low budget or his
company is unable to allow many days for him
to promote his album. Our aim is to let
everyone be aware of how immensely popular
Jerry is and to stun the media and masses
with our forces.
The detailed schedule and costs will be
announced soon. We welcome registration from
fans worldwide. The final decision on what we
can do depends very much on the number of
people who will be joining in. If more people
participate, we can generate better promotional
effect and can reach economy of scale and
bring the cost down.
As the financial cost is high, we intend to
request the assigned travel agent to open a
special bank account. Everyone can then pay
directly to the travel agent and inform the
organizers. This is to prevent any
miscommunication.
All Jerry fans are welcome to join us. Do
feel free to pass the word around so that
more Jerry fans are aware of this activity. If
you have any enquiries, you can email to
album_jerry@yahoo.com.hk. As this activity can
only be successful with the participation of
worldwide Jerry fans, please help to post this
to Jerry Yan websites.
The following are some questions that have been
raised by Jerry fans. They are listed here
for your information :
Q1. Must we go to Hong Kong first ?
Ans : It will be good if you can come to
Hong Kong first. But if you can only join us
in Taiwan, we can meet in Taiwan and travel
together to the meet-the-fans session
Q2 Fans from some countries cannot be granted
visas to Taiwan.
Ans : We are sorry to hear this. If this is
the case, please support Jerry by buying his
solo album. This is Jerry's first solo album
and we sincerely hope to do something for him.
Jerry and Jerry fans have all worked hard. We
want to show him that we are behind him and
will support him all the way.

F4 /Energy&5566 articles in Straits times
Mar5: F4 /Energy&5566 articles in Straits times
Singapore

Waste of energy
Or maybe not. Fans of Energy are queueing for 19 days
to meet their
idols here. They want to break the record of the
11-day wait by
5566's fans
By Foong Woei Wan
IT MAY not be apparent to passers-by at Funan The IT
Mall, but 17-
year-old Koh Sin Nee and her friends are on a
round-the-clock Big
Mission.
A 19-day mission, to be exact.
They have set up camp at a stage on the first floor of
the mall to
queue and be first in line to meet their idols,
Taiwanese hip-hop
group Energy.
The thing is, the four boys from Energy will only be
in Singapore to
plug their fourth album, 4ever, next Wednesday.
They will be at Funan to meet their fans only next
Saturday at 7.30pm.
But since last Tuesday,Koh and a group of 50 friends
have been taking
turns to wait in line for the boys.
They first formed a queue at Plaza Singapura in
Orchard Road, where
Energy's autograph-signing session was to have taken
place.
Yesterday, record label Universal Music announced
that, due to
an 'internal miscommunication', the session would
actually be at
Funan.
When the girls heard this, they rushed there to form a
new queue.
'It's worth the wait because it's Energy,' says Koh,
who has just
finished her O levels.
But why on earth are they wasting 19 days in the
queue?
Put it down to obsessive Taiwanese boyband rivalry.
The Energy girls
want to better the record set by fans of Taiwanese
boyband 5566.
Last month, more than 70 of 5566's fans waited for 11
days at
Junction 8 in Bishan for a chance to be the first to
meet the five
singers.
All in, a record 15,000 fans turned up for autographs
from the actor-
singers that day.
The 5566 fans had set out to out-queue F4 fans.
Two months ago, a group of F4 fans waited for seven
days to meet
singer Vic Chou at Junction 8.
Universal's product manager Connie Low says: 'Kids now
are more
daring, more expressive. Fans of the past knew their
place.'
But she adds that since the Energy girls have started
queuing, 'of
course we hope to hype up the event'.
She says she has asked the mall's security guards to
watch over the
fans.
AIMING FOR PUBLICITY
OVER at Funan, Koh and her friends arm themselves with
CDs,
magazines, newspapers and paper fans printed with
Energy's logo to
kill time.
The more than 50 female friends take turns to sit in
the queue.
The youngest is 14, the oldest 21 and at least one of
them is
queueing at any one time. At night, at least two of
them are around.
Wang Yiyun, an 18-year-old fan, says that one of their
aims is to put
their idols on the map of Mandarin-pop consciousness.
'People only know that 5566 is popular. They don't
know that Energy
is popular too,' she says.
Another fan, 17-year-old waitress Ryozo Lee, admits
that their record-
breaking queue is meant to attract the attention of
the media and
that of their idols.
'When we do this, you guys come here. Then, Energy
will know that
they are popular in Singapore. Then, they will come to
Singapore
more,' she says.
F4 STARTED IT
COMPETITIVE queueing is a recent development in idol
worship here.
It has its roots in 2001. That year, F4 became famous
overnight after
acting in Meteor Garden, a popular pop-idol drama
series based on a
Japanese comic book.
Banking on its fame, the quartet also released its
debut record,
Meteor Rain, which sold four million copies worldwide.
When the boys came to Singapore to meet fans at
Junction 8 that year,
a then-record 10,000 fans turned up.
But only about 7,000 were allowed to go onstage to
shake the hands of
their idols.
Before the F4 phenomenon, the turn-out for
meet-and-greet sessions
with stars such as Taiwan's early 1990s boyband The
Little Tigers and
Hong Kong's Heavenly King Jacky Cheung numbered in the
hundreds, say
industry insiders.
'When F4 came to town, it was as if comic-book
characters had come to
life. The girls went ga-ga,' says Ms Jasmine Chong,
marketing manager
for Music Street, which distributes the music of
popsters from 5566
to Vivian Hsu.
After the F4 incident, it became common for fans to
queue for days
for meet-and-greet sessions and also at concerts with
free-standing
tickets.
Fan clubs such as Only F4 and pro-5566 Starland take
queueing so
seriously, they even draft queue rosters.
In fact, executive officer Stephanie Loh, 30, Only
F4's vice-
president, takes leave so that she can queue for a day
at events.
'My maid takes care of my son,' she says blithely of
her F4 stake-out
duties.
Singaporean F4 fans also queue on behalf of fellow
fans who are
flying in from countries such as Australia, Japan and
South Korea for
an event, she adds. The fans communicate via the
Internet.
The rivalry among the boybands themselves has
intensified their fans'
ardour for queueing.
Starland's president, shipping assistant Tony Yap, 23,
says he and
other members fully intended to beat Vic Chou's fans
when they queued
for 11 days to meet 5566 last month.
And Energy fan Wang says she was inspired to queue
because she wants
to put the 5566 singers in their place.
Apparently, singer Zax Wang from 5566 had bragged in
the Taiwanese
programme Showbiz that no one else had fans who would
be willing to
queue for as many days.
'I want to show that what 5566 fans can do, Energy
fans can do, too,'
says Wang.
As to what her parents make of the Energy vs 5566
rivalry, she
replies with a smile: 'My mother likes F4.'
• Energy will sing and sign autographs at Funan The
IT Mall next
Saturday. They will stamp autographs and shake fans'
hands at West
Mall next Sunday. The 5566 Concert 2004 will be on at
the Singapore
Indoor Stadium on April 17 at 8pm.
PROFILE OF A BOYBAND FAN
RYOZO LEE is what you would call a serial boyband
supporter.
In the past three years, the 17-year-old part-time
waitress has gone
to sessions where Taiwanese groups, including F4,
5566, WeWe, Comic
Boyz and Energy, meet fans.
Currently, Energy is her favourite band. She says this
is because
success has not gone to the singers' heads.
'They are popular but still modest,' she says.
She is now with a group of 50 female friends aged 14
to 21 who are
taking turns to queue for 19 days.
While most people might think that they are mad, she
insists that she
is not a fanatical fan.
'I'm not the kind of fan to book a cab and chase
them,' she says.
She and her friends have also never hounded their
idols at hotels
because 'we should give them space'.
In fact, she confesses that she might not be a fan of
Energy forever,
although she claims to be a life-long Andy Lau fan
like her mother.
One thing is for sure, though. The 19-day queue for
Energy will end
in tears for her 'because I am so happy to see them
that I always cry
at their events'.

TRANSCRIPT : Jerry on entertainment tom. online chat
TRANSCRIPT : Jerry on entertainment tom. online chat
LinBai: Hello everybody! please wait for a moment,
JErry will appear soon!
LinBai: Every online friends, welcome to tom.com
interview regarding Magic Kitchen..we are now in the
third interview...long awaited jerry is finally
here..how are you...(ni hao)
J: Ni HAO ( i guess you guys should know what is NI
HAO..it is like How are you!)
L: I notice that you caught a cold. are you alright?
J: All right. was not careful..so i caught this cold.
L: catching a cold is still okay..now on the web
people are discussing about your incident in the
airport where you hurt yourself?
J: Still okay..hope that you all be careful, I am most
worried about some women getting hurt.
L: We are most concerned is you, not getting hurt
yourself. let's take a look at online friends'
questions...(there are many online nicknames...I will
just call them O.F =online friends) O.F asked, can you
describe your performance in MK, do you like your
character?
J: similar to him a little bit personality wise, so,
when i acted itout it felt like myself. Still fine, by
Sammi's side, I help her, had some feelings of "crush"
on her.
L: in the past, did you have these feelings before?
J: Yes.
L: Come to think of it, this movie is Jerry's first
movie performance, O.F asks first time filming a movie
is it interesting? what is the difference with acting
in a tv series?
J: Because in the movie, the timeline is shorter. So,
won't be stuck in the same place for long. Filming
hours are long, sometimes lack of sleep, because
filming in a movie time is more stable..it is easier
to have sufficient sleep, so, a person will be more
able to perform better, this is how movies are better.
L: Many people would think a movie will pose more
difficulties, seems that Jerry thinks it is more
relaxing.
J: Not exactly relaxing. It is just that I feel that I
had more energy mentally and physically to focus on
the movie..Meteor Garden took about half a year to
film...during that half a year, we filmed from morning
to night, sometimes one day..sleep only for three
hours...sometimes cannot control myself. Movies film
only for one-two months, in that kind of situation..i
won't feel as pressured.
L: Jerry fans is more interested. Before you came in
here, we intervied Lee director. Lee Director has high
hopes for you, he regards you as having high acting
talent, next time..can act in many different
characters, many O.Fs wants to know if you have any
expectations in your acting career development?
J: Hope to try out many different characters. because
want to see how far I can go. of course, i am still
learning the ropes.
L: O.F asks, jerry when can you be an King in Acting
(meaning when he can reach the peak..achieve the
highest recognition in acting)
J: Actually i don't dare say. I feel that in this
business, there are many talented people. I just want
to try my best in acting my characters that is already
fine..King in Acting..is still far away.
L: At least right now this question came a little too
soon. don't worry..take it slow. It is good that he
asked you this question after you released your first
movie, if he asked you this before your movie about
becoming a king in acting..that would be scary. O.F
asks..when will you come up with your second movie?
what kind of material?
J: when is still not sure, but right now there are a
couple of good scripts, my company is still examining
them.
L: Convey an O.F's greetings, Jerry's fan said, Jerry,
eventhough time has passed for sometime, but i still
want to wish you a happy birthday. Yesterday, in the
airport somebody said you were hurt, many people cried
was sad. so, right here i will always support you, i
believe that this movie will be especially successful.
Yesterday after you left, many people were crying
there, we all did not know what happened in shanghai.
in reality, it is your movie fans feeling sad over
there.
J: They were very worried about me, I was also very
worried for them. I am still a very healthy person,
yesterday there were many young girls and also older
ones there, I am more concerned about them.
J: Jerry don't worry, those young girls was swept off
emotionally by this young man' handsome-ness..that
kind of strong impact is unimaginable. Your birthday
is special, we want to know how you celebrated your
birthday.
J: This year i was at home to accompany my mom. last
year, i was workng most of the time outside, had
relatively lesser time to accompany my mom, this year
I want to spend this special day at home with my mom.
L: O.F asks, Jerry's MK this time would you come to
promote in Beijing? Many fans are waiting for you.
J: I want to go to many places too, because right now
I am recording my album, I don't know if i will have
the opportunity to go there, i will also need to see
my itenary for the remaining trip.
L: O.F asks, representing Shanghai fans welcomes you
to come here, wants to ask do you like this city,
shanghai?
J: I want to understand this place better, because i
do not have the chance to look around yet, most of the
time i will be in the hotel, also..last time's
concert, i don't have much memories. But, i have heard
many good descriptions about Shanghai, so, i hope that
if i get the opportunity, i would want to take a look
around.
L: At least you know the hotels well and has good
impressions on them. This time our interview is also
held in this JinMao hotel (not sure hotel's name) .
O.F asks, will you come to singapore?
J: I will go to singapore.
L: this o.f can look forward to that. O.F asks, he is
wondering if you are considering to come to mainland
to develop your career?
L: What counts as developing my career here? For e.g
when i release my albums, i will hold some solo
concerts, can these be counted as development?
L: His/her meaning is to have more chances to see you,
plus no only for you to familiarize not only with
hotels in beijing n shanghai..also familiarize
yourself with the streets and pubs here etc etc.
J: Hope that will have more time here, to visit
different cities in mainland, different cultures,
different places different people..the feeling is very
good, hope that i will have more chances to come here.
Besides these, i hope thru my album i can come here.
L: O.F asks, can you talk about your new album.
J: I have recorded about 4-5 songs for the album,
almost half of it now. I am very pleased with the
songs that I have currently. Because I have waited for
these songs for more or less a year, from 100 over
songs, I have chosen them. I like them alot
personally. In the movie, one of my songs is in there
too. Hopefully I can gather your opinions about the
song after listening to it.
L: It's good that you remind us, if not many friends
would have missed it. In MK, what is the title of your
song?
J: I don't know if the title of the song will change
later.
L: O.F asks, what is your biggest reward and
experience from filming this movie?
J: The biggest reward must be is to able to know such
a great person like Sammi with better acting talents
than I. Of course, I need to be grateful because they
have given me this chnce to work together. From them,
I have observed the way they dealt with situations,
e.g Sammi at filming location will make the atmosphere
very relaxed, Sammi has always been the role model for
newbies. Sammi and I had many acting scenes together,
i feel that she is a special artist, very
accomodating, easy to work with. This is what
surprised me. I felt that she might be a pretentious
or something like that. Our cooperation this time
actually we chat about many personal stuff off-camera.
Sammi is actually very unique, if not...she won't be
as popular as she is now.
J: speaking about popularity, you are also popular.
Next O.F asks, can you tell us during filming what are
your specially happy moments..can you share with us?
J: Getting to know Sammi and Andy makes me really
happy. Previously i was missing for a while, to
unruffle myself, during filming when i see many fans
because i was missing for a while, to come out
suddenly was kind of scary.
L: O.F says, i feel that you are very suitable to film
an ancient-costume film, if you act as a warrior, even
without makeup you are still able to look like it.
J: I want to wear ancient clothes too, I feel that it
is fun to be able to. very special. But right now the
scripts I received did not include any of these, but
in the future i will try out.
L: Today many online friends came nationwide and
overseas..news will definitely spread far and wide
overnight. Online friends said that they will book the
entire Beijing cinema to watch your movie, and
produced a special promotion card, that's why believe
that your movie will be a sell-out in Beijing.
J: I don't know how far is it from here to Beijing. I
know that friends (his fans) booked the entire
cinema..i am very happy about that. If it is not to
due to all these publicity, I hope to visit every
place that they have this kind of event. i don't know
if time will permit me though.
L:Today in Shanghai..you already have a little cold,
we don't want turbulence to strike Shanghai..the next
online friend, said that do you feel lots of pressure
working with so many hot shots in your first movie?
J: first yes..because we were not close, after all,
they are big stars..so, lots of pressure. But, after
meeting them..i feel that have been thinking too
much..Andy such a big star but after getting to know
them you feel more and more that he is very
gentlemen..good for us to follow their example.
L: That why this movie opportunity, lets you learn
many things
J:Yes.
L: Another online friend, jerry do you know that many
stars bought houses and started restaurants in
shanghai..do you have such plans?
J: Actually i have thought of that before have a
property and start business...I don't mind whether it
earns a profit or not but i hope to have a place...my
friends are supportive of me..if i have a
store, if there's any event we can go there...this
location will belong to me and it is easier to
control. But, at the moment, i am still
thinking..nobody approached me to realize my dreams
yet.
L: It is easy for us to locate sponsors, like
Shanghai's airport, airport is very easy
really..because they rather have this store than have
their place ruined. O.F asks, after filming this
culinary movie, did you improve your culinary skills?
What are your specialty dishes?
J: Normally I know how to fry egg, steak too..know
some easy dishes Actualy i am quite interested to make
dishes..have thought about cooking for my future
girlfriend. because i feel that doing this is quite
romantic, maybe because i don't know how to sweet-talk
but cooking is still manageable for me.
L: This is definitely very romantic. O.F asks, what
kind of girlfriends are you looking for?
J: It is a girl with arms and legs with a face (with
the five senses on her face) (HE WAS JOKING!haha) this
topic has been asked so many times, this kind of
things depend on feelings..feelings are very
important, need to communicate, and able to accompany
my mother with me.
L: I understand your meaning from what you said.
Everybody likes to ask you this question. but this is
pointless. hopefully everybody will try to understand
no to ask this question anymore. O.f asks, if you did
not enter showbiz, what would you be doing now?
J: From about 5th grade, I have started working from
waiter, bartender, at that time it was kind of fun. I
remember at that time my sister and I would go to work
together. Before coming into showbiz, I was a model,
at the same time working at a bar, at that time too i
was thinking about starting a store with a friend.
because i know how to make thingytail drinks, has
certain familiarity with this restaurant business, i
think this is one of the careers that I know most
about.
L: So, making meals for girlfriend is of course
romantic, if you mix thingytail drinks for her too
that must be very good.
J: Yes.
L: O.F asks if you go online, what do you do online?
J: I am okay, because I am quite busy, not much time
to go online, but there are many friends(fans) that
writes messages to me online, but i seldom see them
online. for instance, I have this idea now. hope that
i can set up a club for my supporters, such as having
my own website, because i feel that there are many
friends who supports me through many different
websites. If there are some things that I want to
tell, there would be too many sites for me to go to.
So, I hope to have my own website. All my recent news
would be posted there. I am not very computer
literate. I want to find a professional to help me
with this matter. I also hope to share my feelings my
photos with everybody on the website. Not a monetary
transaction at all. This is my current view. Because I
have not met a suitable person that i can put my trust
in. I know that sometimes there are some transactions
on the web, i am afraid if somebody takes advantage of
this, therefore i am still looking for a suitable
candidate. I know some people from different fan
groups now but I am still observing to see if they are
really reliable, really want to work something out,
and will not do something negative like steal money
etc. I hope that this project will be carried out soon
because then i will have a medium to share with
everybody. And everybody will not be dependent on the
tv, newspapers to know how i am doing. Moreover, I
have taken many pictures myself I hope to share with
everybody.
L: We look forward to this kind of professional
website. O.F asks..recently any communication between
F4 members?
J: Four of us gathered together in Taiwan recently
(Vanness's premiere) e.g I finished filming in HK, Zai
Zai released his album, hope that everybody can also
support Zai Zai, becase i hope that four of us can
support each other, this kind of feeling is very good.
L: O.F asks, did you play basketball recently?
J: Yes. Later at night i will play basketball with my
friends. Because i can use this sport as a form of
tension release, in this line i am losing contact with
my normal friends, so through this activity i am able
to bond with them..for instance i will sometimes play
with Zai Zai once a month.
L: An O.F said that your basketball skill is better
than Jay Chou.
J: Actually he is better, very styllish, has tricks,
when i play basketball it is very much like my
personality...we always play basketball
together....but because he looks very stylish when he
plays basketball ...we are those kind that plays it
safe...i feel that he plays better. The last time
during the pepsi event i won't because he let me.
LinBAi: Now we have "Yanchengxu.net" 's huge cake to
celebrate your new movie hope that it will have great
sales....let us end with cutting cake..
J: Thank you everybody. Thank you.

Vanness Wu falls in love with a sparrow
Vanness Wu falls in love with a sparrow
Is Vanness Wu and Hebe's "Office Proposal's" first
monophyletic, "Sparrow Transforms into a Phoenix" a
clone of "Meteor
Garden?" The director said, "The two stories are
completely
different."
"Official Proposal" will be airing on April 4th at
9:30pm. In the
drama, Vanness is a 2nd generation businessman. He
returned to
Taiwan to manage his family's business. Hebe is a
shimmering member
of a singing group. The two's identities are distant,
but they
accidently come across each other and fall in love and
also decided
to elope.
The story of "Sparrow Transforms into a Phoenix" is
similar to Dao
Ming Si and San Cai's relationship in "Meteor Garden."
But the
director hasn't a different point of view. He said,
"These are too
completely different dramas. Office Proposal is
completely taken
from society. The differences in identity just adds to
the drama. I
found all new roles, it's not the fantasies in
cartoons/mangas/anime. Like Hebe's role is from a
shimmering 3
sister."
The director indicated that Vanness and Hebe both
represent a
different type of acculturation. Vanness is an ABC and
Hebe is a
simple Ping Dong girl.
When talking about working with Vanness and Hebe, the
director
praised the two greatly. He said, "The two of them are
both
children, and they are very into their work.
Especially Hebe. In one
scene she wore a pair of shoes that didn't fit her.
She walked back
and forth 40-50 times. She ran so much she got
blisters but she
didn't complain."

Lime Mag (Singapore) March 2004 issue
Lime Mag (Singapore) March 2004 issue
As befitting an F4 pop prince, local fans gave JERRY YEN a ear-
busting welcome when he came to town to promote his debut movie,
Magic Kitchen. LIME was there to record the action and provide audio
insulation advice. This story has been brought to you after much
elbow action, many "ouch!"-es and one very firm "Excuse Me!". As a
non-Jerry fan and a diligent press member who's trying to get my
work done, meeting the F4 member and his very vocal fan squad can
be, literally, a blast.
Fans of Jerry Yen are treated to an extra hour of anticipation on 14
January as they wait eagerly for their idol, (almost) here to
promote his first ever movie Magic Kitchen, also starring Sammi
Cheng and Andy Lau.
The air is electric with anticipation at Bishan Junction 8. As fans
chatter feverishly, press members try in vain to look nonchalent.
That is, until the subject responsible for a small eruption of
screams appears. Emcee n YES FM93.3 DJ Chen Liyi rallies the fans
on, "I see a black leather jacket!" the decibels treble as the 27-
year-old emerges n strides onstage with co-stars Nicola Cheung,
pretty in pink, n Vietnamese-American actress Maggi Q, elegant in a
white n gold dress. Yup, that's about the only time any of us paid
attention to poor Nicola and Maggi. Clearly, this is Jerry's night.
Even before his lady co-stars can take their seats beside Jerry,
security is struggling to push back metal barricades that keep
screaming fans away from the main press area, where us lucky journos
get the best view of his tousled locks.
Jerry picks up the microphone. "Hello." My hearing will never be the
same. Really, they should provide protective hearing gear for the
press.
Soon, he's bantering cheerfully and flirting with the fans.
Obviously they have already forgiven him for being an hour late.
Prompting excited squeals from fans, the F4 member divulged that the
popular taiwanese pop group has plans to work on a movie together,
quelling rumours of a break-up following their various solo
projects. In fact, he reveals that things are so healthy in the
group, all four of them recently met up for a screening of Vanness
Wu's film, Star Runner.
Supportively, Jerry even thinks Vanness' kissing scenes were
fantastic. There's also a friendly plug for Vic Chou's recently
released album, Remember, I Love You . "We try to support each other
as much as we can", he quips in a show of camaraderie.
In Magic Kitchen, Jerry plays a young chef's assistant quietly
infatuated with Sammi Cheng's character. But in real life, he proves
to be quite the romantic. He admits that back in high school, he'd
once yell out, "I love you!" in public on Valentine's Day and even
though he never did find out for sure, he thinks his then-girlfriend
must have been touched by his gesture.
Uncharacteristically talkative, he also confesses he'd gone out with
an older woman before. And joy of joys, he has no qualms about
dating a fan if opportunity presents itself. Nodding thoughtfully as
he breaks into a smile, he adds, "Some of the fans are really not bad
looking," drawing appreciative laughs from the hormonal crowd.
And what could be sweeter than a man cooking for the woman he loves?
Yes, Jerry will be doing just that this Lunar New Year, as he whips
up dishes he'd learnt while filming Magic Kitchen for...Mrs Yen, his
mum. Heart skipped a beat, huh? No, he didn't pull a Britney Spears,
rest assured.
But the pots n pans can wait as the comely star says goodbye to his
love-sick Singapore fans. After a mere 40-minute audience with the
pop prince, the adoring masses who've gathered since midday for the
7pm press con bid adieu to their idol the only way they know - very
loudly. Here's a thought: do the F4 boys suffer from hearing
problem, you think?
Juicy Jerry Facts
Have a yen for Jerry? Savour these little-known titbits then
** It took 20 takes before he could kiss co-star Barbie Hsu properly
in their hit drama, Meteor Garden. What's up with that? It's Barbie
Hsu, you should have taken 50!
** Jerry's got really weird fans! One fan message at an online forum
reads, "I am really a freak of yours".
** He has a refrigerator at home that's more than 20 years old.
You'd think with all the dough he's rolling in, he could afford a
new one.
** A filipino news site reported that even big names like Mariah
Carey n Dionne Warwick did not attract as big an audience as F4 when
they visited the country.
** Ooh la la! In an internet poll pitting Jerry, clad only in jeans,
against fellow bare-bodied Takuya Kimura and Korean actor Won Bin,
Jerry won an overwhelming 70 percent of the votes.
** Jerry only knows one line of cantonese to save his life: "I'm
very happy to see everyone!". Gee, that's useful.
** He used to believe nasty rumours about Sammi Cheng until he
worked with her on Magic Kitchen. Hey, we reckon she could say the
same about him!
* His favourite part of his body? His fingers!

F4 goes solo - Not looking good
03/Mar/04 - F4 goes solo - Not looking good.., Lets review back F4 recent years' news.
Source: Lian He Zao Bao
Taiwanese boyband F4 after attending a March Charity concert in Hong Kong, announced the news of going solo. Unfortunately, their popularity had been falling.
Can they really fly solo? Are they up to standard? Let's look back at these 2 years what F4 achieved and have been doing.
After charity concert in Hongkong, each F4 individual dreamt of own amibition and developing their own solo career - publishing solo album and filming movies. Soon after 1 year, the results are obvious enough to see... its not appealing and unpleasent reported by the media.
About this report, F4 manager Angie Cai then unwillingly answered, "In this kind of situation, who can gaurentee 100% ticket box sale?" She feels that economy is not doing good and it is still in the state of recovering, and facing the problem of privacy, this entirely is not F4's individual's fault.
Recently, media reports claim that Angie Cai is a bloodsucker of Jerry, therefore Jerry insisted going solo in other company and instead of continuing the contract with Fu Long management. On the other side, Vic just continued his contract at the beginning of this year already. As for Ken Chu, he has already fixed a decade contract and the possibility for Vanness to continue his contract is high. Therefore, this might result them to become F4 - 1 = F3 forever.
F4 Popularity drops? Going solo is gonna help or be bad?
To find out the results, reporters and media have gathered all their 2years achievements and at the same time, discussing which member of F4 can still make it through this few years and who will fall flat.
TV/Drama Series: After flying solo, potential decreased greatly.
Let's talk about drama series first. All F4 members after shooting Meteor Garden, continued to flim other Tv/Drama Series. For Jerry, he had <Love Injury>, <Come to my home!> For Vic, he filmed <Poor Prince> and once again co-operate with Ken and came out with <Love Storm>. For Ken, he hosted <Marmalade Boy>. Lastly, for Vanness, he hosted <Marriage Office (Qiu Hun Shi Wu Suo)>.
Out of so many dramas, Jerry's <Come to My House> seemed to do better in this case. However, when comparing to 5566's <My MVP Valentine>, it seemed to lose out a bit. This made people think twice again bout their real potential.
SOUNDTRACK:LOW PURCHASE RATE OF LOVESTORM and Vic's Remember I Love YouNow, lets change the subject to Soundtrack. Previous year, ZZ released his 1st album Make a Wish as well as Vanness Body Will Sing.
These two 'hot'bods made their very first step in the music industry. Under focused publicity, Vic's virgin album squeezed in smoothly into Singapore's RIAS Year Best-Selling Album. Vanness's then a bit lower.. but it was still nominated as Best Selling Album too.
This month, Vic Zhou Yu Min released his 2nd album 'Remember I Love You' which only remain in the Taiwan G-Music's billboard for only a week. Obviously losing to 5566 and Elva Hsiao and other singers who similarly released their albums in the same month. .
Some people thinks that F4 isnt that hot anymore, but Angie Cai then disagrees that because ZZ released his album around the Chinese New Year. So less publicity was did and plus the roaring of piracy products.
Another 2 members, Jerry Yan and Ken Chu then never had their albums released yet. If the delay is because that they cannot find suitable songs, then theres nothing they can do. But if they are to delayed any further, perhaps, it will affect greatly their popularity and attention by fans.
MOVIE INDUSTRY: Vanness awaits Korean Movie industry.
Now to Movies. Among the 4 members, only Vic have not join in the crowd.
Comparing to performance, Vanness did a good job and making a new perfect appearance. However, no matter where we see, only his body improve more than his heart. or probably, Vanness' role is better to make use of than the role that Jerry hosted in Magic Kitchen, secretly falling in love with Sammi.
Ken acted as a student in Sky of Love. His acting skills is so-so, but worst, this movie is originally extracted from a Korean movie. If audience is to compare both of this test, i am afraid to say that it is not to ken's advantage.
When comparnig ticket box sales, no one did good. Magic Kitchen had the benefit of releasing in Chinese New Year and acting with Andy Lau and Sammi Cheung, but never did they thought it will crash with another big blockbuster movie: Gui Ma Kuang Xiang Qu which did better.
Vanness is then waiting for Star Runner to be filmed in Korean. He also awaits for better results as he is acting with Korean Hot female star or maybe stepping into Korean music industry?
In conclusion from the results above, we can actually confirmed that F4's popularity did fell after the individual fled solo. For Jerry who always is the main lead, in anywhere, he still can develop further. As for the other 3, there are more for them to catch up. Especially for Ken, he needs to put in more effort.

Zaizai denies F4 will split and hopes for a Hong Kong
Zaizai denies F4 will split and hopes for a Hong Kong
F4 concert
Posted: March 2, 2004
Pic from Apple Daily
A few days ago, Vic Zhou accepted an interview from
the program "Shi Ye Bu Shi Ye." He said that he really
likes to sing and act. When working he prefers to work
together with F4 members because he doesn't have to
sing as much on stage and it is very lonely working
alone.
Denies that F4 is disbanding
Zai Zai's schedule for 2004 is already jam-packed.
Therefore there are currently no plans yet for F4 to
appear together this year. But he thinks that it isn't
good to always depend on others. The four of them will
have to go their own ways sooner or later. When he was
asked whether this implied that F4 will be disbanding,
he immediately denied and said that he really looks
forward to holding another concert with F4. As for the
place, he chose Hong Kong. The reason being that the
last time they recieved a very good response from Hong
Kong fans the last time they held a concert there, he
wants to be in this kind of atmosphere again.
He had was said out to the public that he wants to
date, to feel the sweetness of love. When asked what
his ideal girlfriend would look like, he said that the
outside isn't important, he only requests for
something reasonable. Instead, the most important is
that they have an obedient personality and can cook so
that she can take care of him, a greedy eater. He will
also sing love songs for his girlfriend, especially
love songs by his idol Andy Lau.
