Jerry starts new company for tax purposes

Jerry starts new company for tax purposes

Lately, the news is that Jerry will leave Fu Long and
start his own company, resulting in the collapse of
F4.

However, F4's manager states that this is all a
misunderstanding, as all F4 members will have their
own company for tax purposes. People probably
started the rumours when they saw Jerry applying for a
indepedent company. As for Jerry's contract renewal
issue, there is no news at this moment but F4
will definitely not disband. The company has arranged
for Jerry's album to be in May.

Bao Long goes solo, breaks up F4!!!

Bao Long goes solo, breaks up F4!!!

Yesterday Hong Kong said that Jerry Yan (Bao Long)
will by flying solo after his contract ends at the end
of this year. He will self-assemble a studio, no
longer wanted to be with F4. His broker, Ge Fu Hong
said yesterday with regards to this, "I suspect that
someone is making this up. The four of them have
always got along very well and he really loves his 3
brothers."

HK indicated that in January the concert held by 12
Girls Le Fang in an HK arena was originally for F4.
But in the end because F4 is about to disband, they
didn't want to hold a concert in the name of F4.
Therefore the arena was given to 12 Girls Le Fang.

Alone bewailing, no one cares

According to reports, Bao Long's feelings is one of
the reasons that decide whether or not F4 can work
together. From the beginning of last year, there were
reports saying that he wasn't in good terms with F3.
In July of the same year, the four was a movie's,
"Xing Ji Bao Bei," spokesperson, during the premiere;
Jerry was putting on make-up alone backstage and lying
on a table bewailing, none of the other 3 cared.
Afterwards his company said that said that he was
sick. But what makes people confused is why wasn't
anyone consoling the sick Jerry?

Among F4's contracts, besides Ken Zhu who signed for
10 years with Fu Long, Vic Zhou (Zai Zai) continued
his contract. A well-informed source stated that
there's not problem with Vanness Wu resigning. But
because Jerry wants to self-assemble a studio, the
possibility of him resigning isn't big.

Contracts are indeed coming to an end

The manger of Comic Family's management department,
Zhi Xiang Li, answered yesterday, "Talking about the
contract situations, Bao Long's is indeed quickly
coming to an end. But I'm not too clear on the
contract matters." Will F4 disband? Is it because Bao
Long wants to go solo? Broker, Ge Fu Hong said, "There
is no such thing at all, I believe that there is
someone who is making this up, deliberately causing
the company and artists, as well as artists and
contradictory between artists. I guarantee that F4 and
the company's relationship are very friendly!"

Luo Da You criticize F4 - singing fake

I even heard from friends that < Their double voices is not done by themselves, but getting others to help them to sing ! >

He would be holding a concert in Hong Guan very soon. He was asked by the HK media about opinions of Jay Chou and F4. He have ever fired out at other artists like Andy Lau, Mao Ze Dong .....

Vanness & Ken new drama

Vanness & Ken new drama

Following "Meteor Garden 2," Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu will have a
chance to
act together once more in a new drama "Zu Qiu Xiao Zi" (Soccer Boy).
At the
moment, the female lead is most likely going to be Lin Yi Chen.

Manager Xiong Xiu Zhen revealed, in Taiwan and China, F4 has a vast
amount of die-hard fans. She plans to collaborate with Shanghai TV.
The
idol drama, "Zu Qiu Xiao Zi" will have F4 as the leading roles.
However, due
to the fact that Jerry Yan wants to develop in the movie industry,
and Vic
Zhou (Zai Zai) is currently filming a new drama already, the 4 are
unable to
work together. Therefore, right now F2, Ken and Vanness, are the
male
leads. And Lin Yi Chen will play the female lead.

Xiong Xiu Zhen said, "I hope that the female lead has a considerably
famous degree in both Taiwan and mainland. And Lin Yi Chen's
movie "Kong Shou Dao Shao Nu" is broadcasting in China and she also
was
nominated for the Golden Horse Awards. I believe that no matter it
be
popularity, acting skills, she is the best choice for the female
lead."

Lin Yi Chen's broker Zhou Mei Yu expressed that she won't rule out
that
she'll arrange for Lin Yi Chen to go towards China to film. However,
currently, besides "My Secret Garden 2" and "Love Contract," in June
she
might be working with Zheng Yuan Chang in a new drama, "Mischievous
Kiss." Plus, Lin Yi Chen has schoolwork. Therefore there is not
exact "landing" date, not only China dramas but even at a discussing
stage.
So it's inconvenient to reveal the situation in detail. Lin Yi Chen
is very
popular; her invitations for dramas are endless.

VAnness news

Clara Enriquez

Vanness Wu of F4 fame has taken the entertainment
scene by storm as a soloist. As a member of the
biggest Taiwanese pop act, F4, it comes as no surprise
that he is enjoying huge success on his own.

From the popular soap opera (Meteor Garden I and II),
smash records (Meteor Rain, Body Will Sing, and
Fantasy 4ever), music videos, and the Star Runner
film, the versatile performer came into his own as
singer-songwriter Michelle Branch's co-host at the
recently concluded MTV Asia Awards 2004 in Singapore.

Remarkably, Vanness remains unassuming despite his
success, as evident in the following rap session at
the Fullerton Hotel the day before the Awards.

* * *

Are you excited to be co-hosting the MTV Asia Awards
2004?

I'm pretty excited for the big event, yeah! When I
first heard about this, yeah, I was pretty excited.
And I just can't wait to do it!

Why do you think MTV picked you as a host?

Pick me? I have no idea why they picked me! Probably
because I could speak English.

Do you think that's your strength as a host?

Well, in this sense, yeah. If you tell me to speak
Mandarin in Taiwan, that wouldn't be my strong point
but I will try my best at it. But, you know, probably
just...I can goof off on stage probably. I'm really,
you know, easygoing and willing to do anything just in
the name of fun. I like to enjoy myself and have fun!

Time and again, you have changed your look in keeping
with your pretty boy image, as you have now. What can
you say about that?

On being a pretty boy? Oh, no, this is just temporary!
I mean, my hair was long; I was in America for a
while, so it just grew out and then I had a change.

It's not really saying, like, "Okay, we're changing
styles." We're just going for a different image all
around. It's just enjoying yourself, you know -- have
fun, have different looks, be different. You know?

But, you know, I'm still the same person as I am; I'm
still the same person as I was before. And image is
just image -- it's nothing.

Is it difficult to maintain?

The only thing difficult to maintain for me is my
weight because I gain weight really easy. For the
movie I lost a lot of weight.

How did you do that?

I had a very strict diet of just vegetables and
protein, and canned tuna fish. And that's all I ate! I
didn't really eat anything too over the top like, say,
you know, steak. I couldn't even touch it!

And just working out and shooting fighting scenes 10
hours a day, and just keep on intense working out. So
that helped a lot, and I lost the weight with that.

But right after I was done, it's [blows a kiss] back
to hamburgers and, you know, cheeseburgers and all
that! It's difficult but it's fun, you know?

What's the story behind the movie?

The story behind it? Actually, I was really lucky on
this movie project because of everybody that worked on
this movie gave it their 100% -- all their time and
energy they spent, you know.

Nowadays it's hard to get an actor to have all his
time and energy on one movie 'coz a lot of actors
these days, they also do singing and they also do TV
hosting, right, at the same time. So they only have,
maybe, one week to shoot this part and then they gotta
do something else.

But this time, the actress, the actors, the cast, the
crew, the director -- everybody just, day and night,
two and a half months straight; everybody was together
and every day just seeing each other. And so towards
the end of it we all became like a family. You know,
like this family environment that even now, to this
day -- me and the director, me and the trainers and
the other actors -- we're still very close friends.

So out of that whole experience, anything I got out of
it was just really good. A great experience and good
friendships!

Any plans to do another movie?

Hopefully, hopefully. Right now I'm just focusing a
lot of my energy and time on my second book. And as
soon as that's done and as soon as I'm finished
promoting that, hopefully I'll be back to act as well.

Between singing and acting, which do you enjoy better?

In one phrase it's so close and yet so far. So similar
and so different, you know? They're both very, very
draining at times, but then they're both so
exhilarating, rewarding.

So when you're acting, you're working so hard, like,
three days on just, maybe, two minutes' worth of
footage. And then after the end of these months, you
finally see the [finished] product on the big screen
and you're, like, "Wow!" It's a whole different
feeling!

With singing it's on stage and you're singing to the
audience, and you're feeding off their reaction.
You're feeding off their energy, you know? And you're
just going for an hour and a half straight of just,
like, jumping around and moving around.

"They're so different but, at the same time, it's such
a high!"

Nowadays do you still get excited on stage?

Well, of course! You know, I'm always excited when I'm
on stage to see fans, to see people, to be able to
perform. It's always exciting!

And which song do you enjoy performing most?

Which song? There are so many songs! And they're all
so different, and they're all nice. So there isn't one
that I particularly like to perform, but...just pick
one? Really, I can't!

I just love the different crowds and the people, so to
pick one...? Because they all have different reactions
to them I really can't, I'm sorry!

You used to dance before joining F4?

It was just for fun, while we were growing up as kids,
I was in a dance group. Me and another friend, and
Kenny of Machi -- we would do dance competitions at
car shows and stuff like that. That was when I really
enjoyed being on stage! To get on stage and just
dancing, and then hear the crowd just bouncing and
cheering and everything -- that's when I realized, "I
like this feeling!" It's cool, you know?

How do you feel about the phenomenal success of F4 in
the Asian region and in the Philippines in particular,
where there is a language barrier?

I take it as a blessing; it's a gift from God, yeah.
It's not every day that many people will be able to do
what they love to do and to be able to cross
boundaries of one so big, you know, to not even
understand what the person is saying but for them to
welcome me into their homes and country, and to be
able to enjoy their culture and to learn new
experiences -- it's very humbling. I just hope I'm not
taking it for granted.

What is it about the group or your music that you
think people can relate to?

To be honest, I think it was just the TV show. It was
a good TV show! It had good chemistry; it had a good
story. The characters were just fun, and there wasn't
really anything behind it! ...We just wanted to make
people enjoy a good show, you know; have a good time
while they're watching, you know, an hour of that
segment of that show. It wasn't saying, "Oh, we're
gonna make new boundaries with these."

When we heard that Indonesia liked us, you know,
"What?" When we heard that, you know, Thailand was...
I heard that call, "Huh?" And then the last one, they
said, Philippines, I went, "Oh, my God! Get out!
Really?" And then, "They want you guys to go!"

I have a lot of Filipino friends when I was growing up
in high school. So when I told my friends, "You know,
I'm going to the Philippines," [they said] "I haven't
been to the Philippines in 19 years and you're going
to perform there? That's funny!" It's funny the way
things work, but it's very nice!

Do you get jealous of each other's individual success,
considering some of you are bigger than the others?

Well, I don't think we're necessarily bigger; we just
have a different fan base. We don't really look at it
as who's bigger, who's what. We just look at it as
what we each have to give; we each have different
enjoyments, you know, working.

Mine is I like to sing and dance, and we all like
acting, of course. But it's just different types of
characters, too.

I'm really an active type of person: I love running
around, jumping around, and just goofing off. So for
the first movie when they told me it was gonna be an
action movie, I was, like, "Yes!" I was, like, "Oh,
yeah!" And so that was awesome, but we're really happy
for each other! And everything that everybody else
does, we're really excited for each other.

Have you guys seen American Idol? You know, Clay and
Reuben? Like he said, the media doesn't want to talk
about them unless, you know, they say they're at each
other's throats; unless they don't like each other.

It's kinda the same for us, too: People say that we
don't get along and then we're not friends, and all
that stuff. But the thing is if we don't get along,
why would any of us be here today? Or for the premiere
of my movie in Taiwan, why would the rest of them all
show up?

The media was very surprised that the rest of them
showed up, actually. And I was, like, "Why? We're
friends, you know! What's wrong with you?" They're so
into their own world and they're so into, like, what
they write down; what they believe is true. By some
meaning, I don't know how they fathom all that stuff
up! But it's so funny that they believe what they
write so immensely, you know? And in the end it's
like, "Hello! You know? What is this? You know?"

We're all still very good friends; we don't get
jealous of each other at all. We're very happy!

End.

F4 disbanding, Jerry refuses to sign contract

F4 disbanding, Jerry refuses to sign contract
Posted: February 28, 2004

F4 skyrocketed to fame all over Southeast Asia from
the Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden," the four however
are facing the issue of disbandment.

It has been rumored that Jerry Yan (right) is not in
good terms with F3.

F4's broker, Ge Fu Hong (right) facing the problem of
Jerry not continuing his contract.

Flower Four go their own ways. Jerry Yan (left), Sammi
Cheung (middle) and Andy Lau (right) in "Magic
Kitchen."

Vanness Wu (left) and Kim (right) in "Star Runner."

Gigi Leung (left) and Ken Zhu (right) in "Sky of
Love."

Vivian Hsu (left) and Vic Zhou (right) in drama, "Love
Storm."

Popular Taiwanese group F4 is about to break apart.
The main reason is because one of the members, Jerry
Yan, has intentions to self-assemble a company to
develop independently. Jerry, who only has a half a
year before his contract with his management company
ends, expressed to his company that he has already
made a decision. Therefore F4 disbanding is an
inevitable thing.

Popular Taiwanese group F4 skyrocketed to fame from
the drama “Meteor Garden” filmed in 2001. They have
fans all over Southeast Asia. You can say that it is a
wonder in the entertainment circle in the recent
years. But beginning from last year, there has been
continuous reports that Jerry Yan (Bao Long) and the
other F3, Vic Zhou (Zai Zai), Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu
were not getting along with each other as well as news
that F4 will be splitting up. Although his management
company and record company constantly denies, but in
the end they still couldn’t change the fact that F4
will disband.

Contracts terminating in a half a year
Seesawing war with management company
Reliable information has been received that F4 will be
officially disbanding in September. Among the biggest
reasons is that Jerry Yan has intentions to
self-assemble a company to develop independently, his
refusing attitude to continue his contract was very
harsh. And F4’s management contract is currently under
Taiwan’s Fu Long. Ken had already signed 10 years long
ago with Fu Long meaning that he won’t and can’t leave
his management company. The other 3’s contracts with
Fu Long under Comic Family, Zai Zai has already signed
for 3 more years.

The remaining members, Vanness Wu and Jerry Yan, only
have a half a year before their contract with Comic
Family ends. Currently Fu Long and the two are
undergoing a seesawing war. The chances of Vanness
resigning are very high, but Jerry is very
troublesome. He told the company straightforwardly
that he wanted to self-assemble a company to develop
independently and that he has already made the
decision. Therefore there is no way of avoiding the
break up of F4.

Encountering Zai Zai Qiang Zha
Album done recording with no release date yet
However, Fu Long has continuously disagreed to admit
that there is a problem existing between F4. In the
past year they have also revealed that there F4 will
be filming a movie together. And they also said that
Jerry would be releasing his solo album this year. But
we have only heard the sound of the stairs with all
these plans. Jerry’s album has been completed at the
end of last year but it has yet to be released.
Instead, Zai Zai’s album was released at the beginning
of the year. Could the release have something to do
with Jerry’s desire of a self-assemble company?

Starting from this year’s hong guan concert period, we
might see the inkling of F4 disbanding. Because when
12 Girls Le Fang held a concert in HK January of this
year, it was originally prepared for F4. According to
what is known, the reason for the cancellation of the
concert is because the four guys are facing the
problem of disbandment. They didn’t want to hold a
concert in the name of F4. As a result the date was
temporarily given to 12 Girls Le Fang.

Flying solo has fu xian
Repeatedly emphasizes that they each have their own
goals
Actually, beginning from last year, F4 basically
developed on their own respectively. Jerry Yan filmed
the movie “Magic Kitchen,” Vanness Wu filmed the movie
“Star Runner,” Ken Zhu filmed the movie “Sky of Love,”
and Zai Zai stayed in Taiwan to film the drama “Love
Storm.” When they received interviews, they repeatedly
stressed that the four of them only came together
because of the drama “Meteor Garden.” They hope to
seek their own goals and acquire performance in the
future.

However, even if F4’s disbandment is drawing nearer,
the four of them cannot avoid the possibility of
working together again because Pepsi and Baleno S&K’s
advertisements were accepted in the name of F4. If the
advertising company holds a huge publicizing event, F4
is bound to meet up and work together again.

Regarding whether or not Jerry Yan will be starting
from scratch, the manager of Comic Family’s management
department, Zhi Xiang Li, answered yesterday, “Talking
about the contract situations, Bao Long’s is indeed
quickly coming to an end. But I’m not too clear on the
contract matters.” And F4’s broker, Ge Fu Hong said,
“This is only people’s guesses, our relationship is
very good at the present.”

Jerry and Sammi's Love Affair - Not Afraid Of Letting

Jerry and Sammi's Love Affair - Not Afraid Of Letting
Mom See:

Mother in law and daughter in law meet. Jerry will
cover up to take his mother to see MK. Not only will
she get to watch her son's first movie but also see
the "rumoured daughter in law" - Sammi!

Jerry has always been known to be filial so obviously
he will take his mum to enjoy his first movie. He
expresses that his mother does not have a habit of
going to the cinema. Having to read sub script and
watch the movie can be distracting, so he will be her
personal translator and explain the plot to her. He
says: "This is my first movie, I hope to share it with
my mother."

It was only when he was filming in HK that Jerry
realises that mother is best. He explains that he
didn't know how to be filial when he was younger,
alwasy picking on his mother's cooking. Now he knows
that it's the though that counts. "I really missed my
mum's hot soup when I was filming in HK."

As for the rumours about himself and Sammi filming in
Japan, it says that they managed to find a spark.
Jerry says: "I'm not afraid of my mother seeing all
this, she knows my character."

Vanness Wu Great Newcomer
Happy being nominated Wish to me a lunatic

The one who ran first in the movie entertainment
Vanness Wu of F4, recently got nominated for the Movie
award, he got nominated as this time's HK Jing Xiang
Jiang Best Newcomer with Star Runner. Vanness said, "
I'm happy that i'm nomindated, hopes to be a lunactic
or unbalanced person the next time." He is now
recording his new album in Ameria, he'll be a
babysitter when he's free, taking his brother and
sister out ot play.

7,8 pm in Los Angelas, Vanness took his brother and
went on a 25 miute ride in his car to meet up with his
friends to play basketball. Normally, he doesn't have
time to accompany his younger brother. This time, not
only he's back for recording, he trys to fork out time
to take them out, Vanness laughed and said, " I often
bully them while i was young, now, they're sticking to
me all the time, i feel so guilty."

Vanness's character is honest and cheerful, and has
talents. Talking about his new album, he says its made
out of blood and sweat. While going to Singapore to
host the MTV Asia Awards was very outstanding, MTV
invited him to host the whole event. As his movie,
Star Runner even got nominated as the Best Newcomer,
even Jerry Yan praised that it was tough on Vanness
fliming a movie. Vanness who thinks about other alot
said, " Fliming love stories or stories with love is
even harder, no matter how tough is it fliming action
movies, it won't be as hard as the soldiers."

Star Runner, action movie, allowed Vanness and An Zhi
Jie to become good friends. Previously, An Zhi Jie
worked with SHu Qi and also in many other shows, his
experience was great. Being nominated as the Best
Newcomer together with Vanness, Vanness said, " When i
knew he was nominated, i immediately congratulated
him, we're friends, i didn't think that much. " It was
funny, though Vanness could experience the freedom
life in US, he misses Taiwan alot. He says he misses
his friends, colleagues, environment. He doesn't miss
the food, because he gets fat easily and has to
control. Asked whether he misses the misses the
rumoured Vivian Hsu, Vanness laughed and said, "
You're thinking too much."

Thanks to Ming Sheng Bao.
